Stars...
I used to believe
That everyone was free
That everyone could see the starsBut when I look up
I only see how small I am
All these trees and rocks
Amongst the people
I was no oneThe stars are bright
A free feeling
A beautiful light
And I'm fallingThe stars remind me of love
Of pain and beauty
Of everything and nothing
Of the world's outside our ownThe stars...
Oh how I used to believe
That I would become one someday
But all I will become
Is a body amongst the dirt and wormsAnd while I will not mind
My heart certainly will
With a longing to be free
To fly highMaybe I will become a ghost
Though I doubt it
Maybe it's only the soul
That manages to become a starThe stars...
How I once believed I was free
How foolish of me
I should have knownWe're all trapped down here
With nothing but ourselves
And the stars as companyWhile it may sound wonderful at first
The stars never talk
They listen, and learn
But they never speakThe stars...
They are nothing but a dream
They left long ago
With only a cloudy sky left
I think about all I missOh the stars...
Maybe they will glow once again
With the promise of a new night
Followed by a new day
And maybe some lightStars...
They remind me of love
How we fall, and do not rise
How we laugh and cry
How it hurts, but we still smileStars...
Oh...
Maybe one day I'll become
A star once more
And I'll be free...
Free again...
