YOUNG L/N AND YOUNG BAKUGOU WILL

BE PAIRED UP FOR THIS ROUND,❞ all might's voice ripped through the awe-stricken class' ears, everyone's full attention on the number one pro hero. everyone gathered around the smiling man in his hero costume, marveling at how majestic or manly he looked in that moment, flexing his muscles as he heartily laughed.

the newer student didn't join in on the class' activities, opting out to lean on a nearby wall, her arms crossed as she was — yet again — listening to music on her airpods. of course, she heard everything her heroics teacher said (how could she not when he was always yelling?), bringing a lazy smirk to her face. she figured it was the best way to start the day, fighting the boy she effortlessly teased. she knew he wouldn't go easy; he never did. but she loved that about him.

as soon as all might had announced that the pair would be going up against each other, the familiar, angry blond stomped up to the shorter female, a scowl on his face and finger pointed directly to her. ❝you're going down. i can promise you that.

a few people looked to the pair with amusement, curious to see what retort their new classmate would come up with to respond to the ticking time bomb they called their friend. they saw her roll her mesmerizing e/c eyes before batting her long eyelashes at him as she gave a small smirk. they expected a flirtatious remark, maybe even a suggestive comment, not a soft ❝good luck, darling.

so, to their surprise, no sarcasm or taunt was heard in her voice, true and honest words falling from her alluring lips. and bakugou didn't have a retort. what was he supposed to say to her when she wish him luck o beat her in combat?

it seemed like the new girl had another power. that power — more so a talent of sorts — was being able to render an angered teen speechless, without the use of threats.

but oh, her other specialty they knew nothing of. she had the ability to see through his fake facade of narcissism, and through his towering ego that either scared people off or forced them into submission.

she  could  see  the  real him as he  walked away,  his  ears  burning  and  a  scowl on  his  face.
