Our Baby Brother

Bath Time is A No Go!

The three older brothers walked into the kitchen to find baby Mikey sitting in the kitchen, on the floor, covered in chocolate syrup and flour.

An empty bag of flour laid on the floor, it's white contents spilled out into the ground like snow. Chocolate syrup spilled onto the floor next to the turn bag of flour.

Raph, Donnie and Mikey stood at the door in shock as they took in the mess. "Okay...who left the cabinet open?" Leo demanded.

Donnie picked up Mikey, getting sticky in the process. "Sorry...my fault! I must have forgotten to close it!"

Raph patted Mikey's sticky head. "Guess we'll have to give him a bath!" He commented as he licked the chocolate substance from his hand.

They took him to the bathroom and pulled out the large metal tub that Splinter used to give them baths in when they were turtle tots.

"Okay Mikey, let's get you cleaned up!" Donnie said as he filled the tub with water. "We've never done this before!" Raph commented.

"It's just a little bath...how hard could it be?" Leo responded as he felt the water in the tub. "Donnie, that water is way too hot...you'll cook him!"

Donnie immediately turned on the cold water and let it run. "We don't want that to happen!"

After a few minutes, the water was the perfect temperature so Raph gently put Mikey in the water.

Mikey, however, did not want a bath at the moment and started whining. "No!" He grumbled. "No baf!"

Leo frowned. "But Mikey, you're filthy...you need to get clean!" He tried to reason with the baby who stuck his tounge out at them.

Raph sighed. "Come on baby brother, it'll only take a minute!" He coaxed as Mikey splashed all of them with water.

They all sighed. "Maybe he wants bubbles? Babies like bubbles, right?" Donnie suggested as he grabbed some bubble bath.

He poured it in and Mikey giggled as he started playing with the bubbles. He popped them with his tiny fingers and squealed.

"Okay, now Raph you hold him while I wash him off!" Leo commanded as Raph held Mikey in place.

Mikey squirmed and cried as he moved away. "No!" He whined. "No, no no, no baf!" He splashed them.

"Okay...anyone have any other ideas?" Donnie asked as he dried the water from his face for the second time.

"Maybe I can help!" Master Splinter said as he walks in. "You are doing it wrong..." He commented.

The boys stepped aside. "He likes the bubbles, but we can't get him to stay still while we clean him!" Leo said.

Splinter grabbed a rubber ducky out of the bottom of the sink cabinet and gave it to Mikey who immediately stopped pouting and played with it.

"That was his favorite bath toy, he never took a bath without it!" Splinter explained as he started to wash Mikey gently with a washcloth.

The brothers watched in amazement as Mikey allowed his daddy to clean him up. "How did you know that!"

He gives them a look. "I raised you boys, don't forget!" He said matter-o-factly as he continued washing Mikey.

After Mikey was clean, Raph dried him gently with a towel and wrapped him up in it like a little burrito.

"See, that wasn't so bad, was it?" Donnie said to baby Mikey who giggled. "No, wike bafs!"

They laughed as they took him back to the lair so he could play...But they probably should have been watching him...

20 minutes later, Mikey was sitting in a pile of honey syrup and cocoa powder.

"Time for another bath..."
