the three women sat in a awkward silence around Jessica's dining room table. the two older women's damp hair dripped off their shoulders as Hannah twiddled with her thumbs quietly.
'look baby i wanted to tell you, i didn't know how you'd react, i was waiting for the right time' jessica held her daughters hand smiling softly
Hannah rubbed her mother's hand softly looking back at her giving a slight smile to susan
'what about Daddy' Hannah sniffled Susan's eyebrow arching at the mention of Sam
'oh honey, you know me and you father are done, he really hurt me' Jessica wiped her eye softly as she felt Susan's hand on her thigh rubbing it softly.
'your right, i'm sorry, i just hope your happy Mom' Hannah sniffled once more
'i am, i'm the happiest i've ever been in a while' Jessica smiled brightly
'i guess this means your happy staying home then, if your both isolating together' Susan and Jessica nodded
'i promise i'll take good care of her, even-though she can be abit loopy' Susan tilted her head towards Jessica as Hannah laughed loudly. Jessica's mouth opened but found herself laughing too.
'you've got that one right, call me if either of you need anything, we have room for the both of you if you change your mind' Hannah smiled before kissing both the women on their cheek and leaving Jessica's apartment.
Jessica and Susan sat back at the table in silence, Jessica pulled out her pack of cigarettes lighting one and climbing into Susan's lap
'well shit' Susan spoke as Jessica cackled loudly the pair putting their foreheads together
'that was unexpected' Susan spoke rubbing Jessica's shoulders
'tell me about it, i never even considered i'd have to tell my kids, it just seems normal if you get me' Jessica's eyes glistened as Susan nodded
'you don't have to explain yourself to me, i get exactly what you mean' Susan spoke as Jessica's heart warmed
'now are you going to give me half of that or am i waiting here for nothing' Susan looked at the cigarette that had burned in Jessica's hand while she was talking
'oh' Jessica laughed placing it between Susan's lips.

A few days later.
The lockdown had ended and restrictions were no longer as harsh. Allowing people to visit family, friends etc.
'Jess' Susan yelled from their bathroom
'God why are you yelling' Jessica walked into the bathroom holding her head
'I want you to come to Connecticut with me' Susan's arms wrapped round Jessica's tiny frame
'But your leaving tomorrow? I planned to go for drinks with Sarah' Jessica's voice faded into a whisper knowing how Susan felt about Sarah
'And when were you going to tell me that, or were you just not gonna tell me?' Susan shook her head angrily grabbing her toothbrush
'I was going to tell you, i was just waiting for the right time. I didn't want you to get mad' she rolled her eyes proving what she hoped for was unsuccessful as Susan was mad.
'It's abit to fucking late for that Jess, knowing you'd rather go out and meet your ex fling or whatever you called it, rather than spending time with your girlfriend and meeting her family' Susan yelled walking out of the bathroom before turning around
