The heavy downpour of rain was all she could remember of what happened earlier. She loved the storm.
In the dense forest of thick leaves and massive trees shrouding the sunlight, making the rays sparkle through tiny gaps between them. The occasional chirpings of screeches of exotic animals echoed in the forest and the leaf-strewn floor was damp from rainwater. It was cool but humid, the atmosphere was tense but with a strange kind of calm, almost comforting. The trees were unlike any that exists in the human world. They were tall – their branches and stems glowing with bright streaks of gold, white and soft pink completely covering the bodies of all the trees, evidences of life sources emanating from underneath the ground. Huge mushroom caps of bright neon blue grew big and strong, bigger than usual and covered in intricate neon designs that were uniquely different than each other. Strange flowers with bright lights glowing from the center had sparkles slowly twinkling around it, letting out a sweet fragrance that attracts exotic insects and rare animals. These flowers contain a special type of nectar capable of healing deep wounds and bruises; inside the nectar having raw organic minerals that are often sought after by hunters and scavengers to sell for profit as they are known to be really pricey. As much as these flowers and herbal plants are protected, they were also at the verge of being completely extinct due to the harsh actions of human arrogance and greed.
Which was why a girl with bright blue eyes dreams to preserve nature's greatest gift ; Eden's Flower.
Dressed in black with a silky red jacket, she was on a quest to create a special spell that's strong enough to create a barrier around the enchanted forest while keeping dark forces away. The animals in here transcend the ordinary so once their existence is known to humans, they will be at risk of being hunted.
She packed her items into a small brown bag – a spell book, small empty vials, and a pouch to keep other collected herbs. She also slung her bag of sharp iron arrows with poison at its tip and a bow made out of the strongest wood found in the forest. She also slung an iron dagger at her waist and wore her boots. She had gotten used to dangers of the forest so she was now well prepared. She closed the door of her cottage and sets off to venture deep towards a beautiful patch of Eden Flowers everywhere. She bent down and began to carefully pluck them and keep them in her pouch, then she absorbed it's essence from the center and kept them in the glass vial, seeing it shine bright gold. Satisfied, she then sets off towards the temple.
As she was heading there, she felt a strange presence behind her. It felt intimidating and she turned around but seeing nobody there. She did not even hear any rustling of leaves or snapping of fallen branches, even though she was aware of strange things behind her. Deciding to stay on guard, she took an arrow and armed it to her bow as she walked; occasionally aiming it at places that she thought the strange thing would be hiding. It was as if it was stalking her, ready to attack but not yet taking action and leaving her in anticipation. With a nervous heart, she finally arrived at the temple and entered it. It was made out of concrete now covered in moss and dangling ivy, weeds growing out from the gaps underground and the leaves covered most of it. Light shone through, illuminating the peaceful darkness and she walked up to the concrete counter at the center, a bright shining star floating in the center. Eyes sparkling, she knew she is finally nearing the end of her quest.
She took the vial containing the flower's essence and uncorked it. Just then, something came up behind her and she snapped around to see a huge grey wolf with red stripes covering his body. Its face was scarred and bloody, a red glowing mark in the center. Its eyes were golden and it had venom dripping from its mouth. It was growling menacingly, slowly getting closer. The girl placed the vial behind her, then aiming her arrow at the wolf. She fired a shot and it dodged away, lightning fast. The wolf lunged at her and the girl fired again but missing just by a few inches. The wolf crashed her down and towered above her. She struggled to break free but the wolf's paws were surprisingly strong, holding her down. Then, right in front of her eyes, the wolf morphed into a gorgeous boy with the same golden eyes and sharp fangs.
