I just decided to write a second book, dedicated to one of my best friend, Valerie

~Valerie~

" Valerie, get me a cup of water. Now" Sean demanded half-way through dinner.

I continued eating and said,

" Why don't you go get it yourself?"

He slammed the table in anger. " JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH AND GET ME A CUP OF WATER! "

Oh. Someone is in a bad mood.

I continued eating. This man has no rights to treat me like a slave. He stood up and walked towards me and pulled me up from my seat. He lifted his hand and it came harshly into contact with my cheek. I touched the area which was already stinging. Tears were threatening to fall, but I did not allow it to.

" Sean, I will go get it for you! Calm-" My mom said but was cut off.

" Karen! Keep quiet. I'm trying to discipline our daughter here!"

" I am not your daughter." I said calmly.

I stood up and went up to my room and slammed the door shut. I sat on my bed and finally, allowed the tears to fall.

Sean really isn't my father, in case you're wondering. Let me tell you what happened.

My dad died in a car crash a few years ago. My life went on normally- I was sad of course. I never got over it and was always against the idea of my mom dating because I did not want anyone to replace my father. My mum respected me so she did not date anyone at all. Until, 5 years later, my mum met Sean, my step father. He was a nice guy and all, he was really sweet. I thought I'd stop being selfish and assured my mum it was okay if they went out.

Then, he moved in after they dated for about 3months. I don't know what came over me when I said yes that day. It was the worst decision of my life though.

A few days after he moved in, he lost his job and kind of lost his head. He started ordering me around when my mother was not around. I wasn't really happy about that but my mum was happy that he was staying with us so I kept quiet. I wanted my mother to be happy.

I know most kids loath school... but to me, school is the only place I can escape from this mad house...

"Baby you light up my world like nobody else. I love you. Will you marry me? " Harry said.

"Awwww, I'm so lucky to have you as my boyfriend Harry. Yes, I'll marry you." I replied.

Harry stood up from his kneeling position and kissed me.

" Valerie! You have school! You'll be late if you don't wake up now! " I heard someone scream, interrupting our snogging session.

Suddenly, I felt cold air.

My eyes shot open, only to realise it was all a dream, my mum was the one who 'interrupted' our snogging session and she was the one who pulled my blanket away from me...

" Good you're awake. Now, go get ready for school"

Well, my mom is a pretty nice person but when it comes to waking up for school... well you saw what happened.

I took a steaming hot bath and dressed myself in a purple hoodie and jeans. I swung my bag over my shoulders and walked down the stairs, past mum and Sean.

" Bye mom!!!" I said and ignored Sean.

*At school*

" Hey Val! How was you weekend?" Jessica asked. I was in class waiting for my first class to start, with Jessica siting on my left and Claire on my right. Claire and Jessica are my bestest friends. They are like the few people who make my life bearable. "Hey guys! My weekend sucked. Stuck at home all day," I replied.

" Hey so you all going for One Direction's concert in May?" Claire asked. I nodded my head and so did Jessica. Okay, so one fact about us : We are truly, madly deeply in love with those 5 boys from I DONT EVEN HAVE TO SAY IT AND YOU ALREADY KNOW!

" Wanna come over later after school? We can get our tickets online" Jessica asked.

" But what if the tickets are already sold out by then" Claire asked.

" We can only start buying tickets at 3. We end school at 1. " Jessica replied.

* After school at Jessica's house"

" Alright, so we get the backstage tickets? Is that alright?" Jessica asked.

" Of course ," I said, despite it being bloody expensive.

" Definitely," Claire agreed.

" The tickets and backstage pass would be here in 2 weeks. It would be mailed to my house so I will pass it to you all in school alright?" Jessica asked

Claire and I agreed.

*day of concert*

~Jessica~

We walked around backstage when suddenly, Claire screamed.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!!"

Valerie and I turned and saw them. The people we have been wanting to meet for soooooo long...
