Ryders Story (English)

The Start

So let's start at the beginning,
Ryder Zhuravlev was born on March 31st 2003 in Drezna, Russia. The reason why I chose this date is because that's when I first officially posted him, so technically that day he was born, the picture below is the first public photo of Ryder

Anyways continuing on,
Ryder was born to an average paying family, mother being Puertorican and his father Russian. Growing up with 3 siblings, Xayne the oldest brother , Asher the second youngest brother, and lastly Raven, the youngest sister. Ryder may be kind of a dick, but he cares so much for his family. Especially his sister and mother, that he would do anything to protect them.
    At the time their father was still around, (he left when Ryder was 13, Ryder is currently 17) so things were very different from how it is now in the Zhuravlev family. Mr.Zhueavlev was often out of town, or in general out of the house, so Ryder did not see him often, and when he did, it wasn't a pleasant experience. Ryders father was quite emotionally and physically abusive with him and his brothers, luckily the ladies of the house were not also abused. Mr.Zhuravlev believed these boys need to be treated this way so they become stronger men in the future, he was also incredibly homophobic which led to Ryder not finding out he was gay earlier on. He was usually the main target of the abuse, and led to him believing he was worst than everyone else. The main reason Ryder was such a big target for Mr.Zhuravlev was because of the things he liked, Ryder had longer hair than the other boys of the family and his interests were quite different (being interested in makeup and being quite fond of male celebrities). These things made Mr.Zhuravlev believe that Ryder was gay, and he thought by beating him and emotionally hurting him, would remove that part of Ryder.
    It worked for a bit, only because of the fear placed onto Ryder, he was absolutely terrified of being gay, so he pushed those emotions down. A couple of years of that went by, till Mrs.Zhuravlev finally got help from her side of the family and friends to stand up to her husband. It was an incredibly messy divorce, but finally the Zhuravlev family was free from that horrible man. Each one of the family members experienced their own trauma, luckily Raven was too young to know what went on around the house before her father left. As time went by, the feeling of dread just became stronger and stronger for Ryder. He was left physically and emotionally scarred, confused, sick to his stomach. Even though his father was gone, he was still scared to be himself. Ryder pretended to be this happy go lucky guy, in school,at home, for the sake of people not worrying about him, but he needed so much help.

A year went by, Ryder still not receiving any help. His mother soon began to drink a lot, she wasn't a bad mother, she was just going through a lot, everybody in the family was. Because of Ryders mother being unable to do a lot of things in the house, Ryder and his brothers helped her out. His older brother got a job to help pay rent. This went by for awhile, nothing really changing.
Another year went by, Ryder is currently 15, below is a picture of him at the time.

Ryder was able to get some of the piercings he wanted and dyed his hair blonde. He needed something to change, so he changed his look to feel a little better. He stopped helping out his mother often due to his older brother not wanting to put so much pressure on him, Ryders task was to take care of his younger brother and younger sister. So he did, one day he went out to buy some stuff for everyone, it was getting dark but Ryder didn't mind. Ryder lived in a not so good part of the neighborhood, due to the fact that his family didn't have a lot of money.
This was where things took a turn for the worst.

TW Sexual Assault + Self Harm

As he was going back home with his groceries a tall man stopped him. Ryder felt an immediate pit in his stomach. The man asked him how old he was, Ryder ignored and tried going past him. The man grabbed Ryders arm and asked him again, gripping harder as the seconds went by. Ryder yelled at him to let him go, the man punched him and grabbed his body into the alley way, did things to him, while Ryder was half awake. Other men joined,Ryder was destroyed that day. After they were done with him, they left him there, completely broken. Ryder doesn't know how long it's been. He struggles to stand up, luckily all the food he bought was fine, so he grabs it and walks back home. He wants to cry,he wants to cry so badly, but he can't. His mom and siblings never knew, he hid his emotions very well,but it was eating him up inside.
Ryder started to cut just a week after the assault, first on his thighs, escalated to his arms. He also hid these scars very well from his family.

Ryder never got any help so his emotions were all over the place. As he grew up the more and more he rebelled and got into fights. Mostly with homophobes or people that annoyed him.
At this point he looks like how we all know him till this day.
