chapter fifteen

"mariah sweetie what do you want for dinner we have a special guest today too" i asked my little baby who was on the couch watching tv.
"anything" she said to busy watching spongebob
"alright then" i laughed to myself
so i prepared some chicken with biscuits and sauce on the side.
i had sent leo the address to my apartment a few hours ago and there was 20 minutes until seven.
a few minutes later i heard a knock on the door so i walked over and opened it seeing leo dressed in a plain white tshirt, lighwash jeans, and black high top converse. even though it was a simple outfit he looked amazing.
"hi" he giggled
"hey, come in"
he walked in taking off his shoes and sat next to mariah with open arms
"hey sweetie"
"HIIIII I DIDNT KNOW YOU WERE OUR SPECIAL GUEST TODAY" she yelled while smiling.
he laughed at her and gave her a hug as she cuddled into him and sat on his lap.
he kissed the top of her head looked up at me.
"how's everything?"
"i'm doing pretty good. even thought i had mariah while in school i still was able to finish"
"you're so strong naomi, and i love that about you" he sweetly complemented her.
"thank you, i made some food if you'd like to eat?"
"oh yes please, and thank you."
so he stood up with mariah still in his arms and walked over to the dining table placing her in her seat and sitting right across from her.
after we finished eating and talking it was about 9:00.
"mariah it's bedtime"
"noooo"
"yes it is baby now come with me and go to sleep"
"ugh goodbye leo, i will see you another day"
"goodnight mariah" he gave her a kiss on the forehead and i took her to her room changing her into her pajamas and placed her into bed. i read her a story and she fell asleep really quick.
i stood up and walked over to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror my hair wasn't too bad and i was wearing my college sweatshirt with pajama shorts. not too bad i guess. i walked out and sat on the couch next to leo.
"we need to catch up" i immediately said.
"that's exactly what i was gonna say" he giggled.
"let me update you first alright?"
"go ahead" he nodded
"so i graduated from nyu, i work at a good paying company, my baby mariah recently turned three" i smiled at him.
"that's great" he exclaimed.
"now my turn, i graduated from m.i.t, i also work at a really good paying company, and uhm i have a girlfriend..." he said the last part not looking me in the eye.
"o-oh" my mood was definitely not at its best right now but i had to tell him the truth.
"mariahisyourbabyandimsorryikeptherasecretfromyou."
"slow down" he laughed
"mariah is your baby. and i'm sorry i kept her a secret from you, i only brought you here so we could like maybe somehow coparent"
"she's mine?" he whispered
"yes" i looked down at my lap.
i heard him sniffling and so i looked up at him and saw him crying.
"aww what's wrong" i rubbed his back remembering how much it calms him down.
"i have a baby" he smiled
"yeah" i smiled right back at him.
"your girlfriend will kill me" i laughed to myself.
"if she does anything i'll break up with her."
"what?" i looked at him with widened eyes.
"you heard me. i'll do it."
"why?"
"family is first. before anything. she's my child and i want to be there for her. i care about her not some dumb bimbo blonde bitch."
"really?" i grinned
"yes. really" he kissed her forehead and said
"plus, i missed you"
"i missed you too."
he pulled me into his lap and i cuddled into him.
"you're so tiny" he teased me.
"shut up dinosaur head ass."
we both burst out laughing until our laughs started to fade out leo started to lean in, his eyes flickered down to my lips every second.
"leo" i whispered against his lips
"hm?" he hummed
"your girlfriend" i reminded him even though i wanted to kiss him so badly.
"i don't care about her."
and with that, he placed his lips on mine.
i have been craving this feeling forever.
he deepens the kiss by pulling me by my neck which brought me closer to him.
"leo"
"yes?"
"mariah is sleeping, i don't wanna wake her up."
"then we'll be quiet"
"noooo" i smiled
"yeah you were pretty loud last time.."
i hit the back of his neck laughing
"LEOOOO"
"it's the truth" he giggled.
i then was about to lay on his chest when i realized it.
"leo leo leo leo, this isn't good"
"what?"
"you just cheated on your girlfriend."
"yeah i know" he nodded simply
"WHY ARE YOU BEING SO CALM ABOUT THIS"
"shhh you know the baby is sleeping"
"ugh listen to me, that isn't good"
"like she hasn't cheated on me before.."
he coldly chuckled to himself.
"oh, i'm sorry about that"
"no it's okay, i'm going to break up with her."
"when"
"now."
"really?"
"mhmm" he said dialing her number.
she picked up after it rang three times
"hey babe" god, even her voice was annoying.
"hi, i'm breaking up with you"
"what why?" she acted all «sad»💀.

"because this" he propped up his phone on the table showing the both of us.
he turned to me and grabbed my face close to his.
"kiss me, please" he whispered
so i leaned in and kissed him he slipped his tongue in my mouth and pulled away out of breath smiling.
"does that answer your question?" he looked at her through the phone.
"whatever i never loved you anyways, i'm going to call jadyn now."
"go ahead bitch" and he hung up.
"how are you so calm about this"
"i never liked her, she was just another stuck up random girl who wanted me for my looks so i dated her to get over you"
he whispered the last part.
he gave me a light peck on the lips
i stared at him for a while, examining his face.
"what is it?"
"i-i still love you"
"what?" he smirked
"i still love you"
"i love you too" they both smiled the most they have in yearssss.
"does this make you my girlfriend now?"
he asked hesitantly and looked down feeling nervous.
i grabbed his face and looked at him in the eyes.
"your mine and i'm yours." i closed my eyes as our foreheads touched and fell asleep, right there on the couch.
