Imagine going on a double date with the guy you have no feelings for and the guy you have a crush on. Imagine being stuck in between your “date” and the girl you envy the most in the world because she has the one thing you need but can’t have.
Sitting beside a girl who gets the chance to kiss him when she feels like it and take a shower with him cuddling him whenever she wants and pretending to like every moment of it was hard as hell.
And so for that single reason and a whole lot more I hate the girl with passion. But the funny part is when the guy you’re planning to steal is so clueless to the way you feel about him; he smiles at me flashing his dreamy white teeth, his hands reaching on the table to hold his girlfriends hand and smiles whenever she voices her thoughts her lips forming over the words making it hard for me to stay still.

His eyes saying words he will never feel comfortable saying in front of me and Harry but I know that look. He’s giving her a reassurance to the promising night they’re going to spend together over and over after we planned a weeklong trip to Dylan’s cabin in Hawaii.

He was never afraid to voice his thoughts and he can get a tad bit sexually aroused when it comes to her. okay a lot more sexually aroused when he starts talking about stuff he plans to do with her and I hate it when I have to pretend I have no problem whatsoever with him and her in the same fucking bed, naked.
He stares at her lips when she talks; his full attention on her. Not giving a fuck if anyone else was there with them. I notice her bite her lip seductively feeding off the attention he was giving her; making her feel like there was no one in the room but her and I think that’s how he sees it.
I clenched my jaw when my subconscious reminds me what I knew about him was all in my head. I watch him get lost in her, his eyes studying every inch of her face carving it into his mind as I do his.
He tried to keep their eye contact, his eyes traveling down her soft neck before he met her eyes again his shining in excitement, the images in his head reflecting through his lust full eyes, his hands slid down the table and adjusts himself giving me a moment to seize when he’s the most vulnerable.
He cleared his throat excusing himself as he realized he got too excited. I groan when I realize Emma was engaged in a conversation with Harry about how she can’t wait to spend a week with Dylan and he told her he hoped there were some pretty girls in Hawaii to keep him happy. I rolled my eyes at the two stupid 20 year olds beside me, sinking into my own thoughts about the Dylan I wish I had that It escaped my mind that someone has been calling my name repeatedly.
I turn to face the two overly excited party animals assuming that one of them had been calling me. “Yeah?” I raise my brow at them looking back and forth between the siblings.
“We asked you if you want to chip in you know? We’re all going to be so broke after this trip we thought we’d all participate bec-”
“Jesus, I don’t need an explanation.” I snapped at my date staring at his nervous green eyes staring back at me.
The thought of Dylan not noticing me, for him not to acknowledge me hurt my feelings and when my feelings are loose so help me God I don’t know what I might do and I hate the control this beautifully carved human being has on me without even trying.
“No need to get worked up, he just wants to know if you would contribute.” Emma the girl I loathe brings me out of my thoughts. I watch her roll her eyes when she and Harry shared a giggle. I just stayed silent as I brought out my purse to chip in like they suggested and when I was about to place it on the table a hand grabs mine and pulls out the money I held too tightly without my consent and dropped a 20.

By the time I looked up at him, he was already over the whole hand touching, spark igniting moment as if he hadn’t felt anything and he was already latched on his girlfriend. His hand moving away from mine to bring her lips to him in a quick kiss before several follow until they were practically making out without a care in the world.
“What?”  I ask thoughtfully as I noticed Harry’s gaze on me. He shrugged his eyes taking in my features as a small smile played across his lips. “You’re freaking me out. Speak up before I knock you down with this glass.”I threaten my eyes narrowing at his stupid smirk. He didn’t look phased about my threat instead his smile grew wider and cocky.
“You’re smart and beautiful feisty when need be and also fun I wonder why no one has asked you out yet.” he thinks out loud.
“Oh plenty have, but no one matches my standards.” I brag reliving the relief you feel when you get the reassurance you need from time to time.
“Don’t look so smug, tell me; does standard include having  a black curly hair, ocean blue eyes and a wide smile, a jaw that is so sharp it beats the end of a knife or how about your first name being-“ I interrupt him before he could share too much and I’m doomed. “Stop it.”I hiss scared Dylan will overhear our conversation and confront me about my feelings in front of everyone, in front of her.
Harry just laughed, his head bobbing to the side as he doubles over laughter because of my embarrassment. I narrowed my eyes at him warning him to stop seeking attention with his roaring laugh but he wouldn’t have it; instead he pokes Dylan on the side interrupting him from sticking his tongue down his girlfriends awaiting throat.
“Oh my God man you have to listen to Amber she got the best knock-knock jokes.” he chuckles as Dylan’s eyes follow Harry’s and lands on me. “Seriously? Knock-knock jokes?” I fume my eyes burning into Harry’s as he just shrugs and stares at me as if he was expecting me to stick to his dumb joke.
“I could use a knock-knock joke right now.”Emma smiles at me clueless to the hatred slipping through my pores. I looked around the table to see six pairs of eyes staring at me waiting for my end bargain of Harry’s promise. “Um, I can’t think of any right now.” I confess my hands stretching above my head and into the air.
“Tell them what you told me now.” he asks his eyes glistening with laughter he tried to hold back. “Oh just now, yours was better.” I try again but Emma scoffs. “If you don’t have any we should be on our way, we want to be on time for our farewell.” she smiles at her boyfriend as he squeezes her hand and nods.
“Farewell? But you’re only leaving for a week.” I state my mind coming up with multiple crude remarks but sticks to this one for now. “My friends are that amazing.” She giggles as she tugs on Dylan’s hand who was slouching over the booth and I can see it from here that he’s dreading this. How can she not know this by Now?  I ignore her and make my way to the door as the couples and that jerk followed.
I reached my car, my hands fumbling with the key as Harry’s hand grabs mine. “Don’t touch me asshole.” I mutter my hands jerking his off of mine. “Hey, I was just trying to cut down the tension, you were practically staring them down and if looks could kill…” he trails off his hand resting on my forearm again.
“The tension? So your genius idea was for you to put me on the spot?”I seethe as the two people I don’t want to see right now made their way to my car. “Hey, Haz we’re going to leave now, are you going to catch a ride with Amber?” Dylan asks as he lets go of Emma’s hand and scratches the back of his head.
Harry was about to answer when Emma’s overly excited voice interrupts him. “Okay. That would be great.” she cheers her voice giving me headaches and I almost cancel the trip. “I’m not going.” I state my tone flat. She didn’t even glance at me as she huffs. “Yes, yes you are and Harry is coming with you.” she orders and it was my turn to huff.
“Don’t tell me what to do, it didn’t cross your mind to invite me before and only when you want to bone your boyfriend you demand I come to take your brother. I don’t know how your friends stand you all the time.”
“Ladies, please no need to be verbal, Harry can come with us, plus you’re welcome to tag along.” Dylan cuts her in before she says something she’s going to regret when I bash her head on the concrete. “She’s not coming.” she whispers to him but not enough for me not to hear.
“Babe, that’s rude.” he mutters under his breath and looks at me waiting for my answer. “I’m not coming.”I answer again softly. He was about to protest when Harry pleads me with his eyes for me to just suck it up and go to this stupid party.
“Please it’s going to be fun. Do it for me.” Harry begs his hands on my forearm sliding down and capturing mine. I can see Dylan eyeing our joined hands his jaw clenching when he looked away.
I was going to tell Harry that the reason I was not going is mostly because of him and I was going to tell him off and say I was still mad at him, but the way Dylan’s brows furrowed and his eyes darkened when Harry said “for me” pushes me to say okay. And I did just that.
“Ok, that’s settled then. Baby let’s go.” Emma who was quiet for some time now claps her hand and drags Dylan to his car parked at the end of the parking lot. “I’m still mad at you, jackass.” I spit shutting him before he could say any smart remarks.

Today is the day we leave for Hawaii and I can’t be more nervous. I keep replaying worst case scenarios that might happen and my mind keeps going to the darkest places imagining Dylan being some psycho serial killer.
I chuckle at my thoughts. Dylan, the sweet boy who always looks out for people who treats people with kindness, Dylan who offered not to go to the home coming dance because I was sulking about me not having a date, and Dylan who was nice enough to invite me to the party last night, imagining him being capable of doing those things makes my skin crawl.
A loud honk sounded from outside so I forced myself to rid of those thoughts about Dylan and get my bags into my drive way where I saw Harry’s car parked. He might want to come up, so that gave me the push I needed to get myself out of my room and down the stairs before he made it inside.
“I like your outfit. It matches the day.” Dylan compliments me which should’ve flattered me but scared me at the tone he used. Last night at the party he barged in on me and Chris kissing and he’s been bitter ever since and the way he came in tells me he has done it purposely knowing what he would be interrupting but I’m glad he did because we were both drunk and if he hasn’t stopped us then I don’t know where it would’ve lead to.
“Thanks; you too.” I push myself to answer him pointing to his yellow baseball hat and his blue sweats. His outfit didn’t match at all but he still managed to pull it off. He nodded but he didn’t say anything afterwards. His eyes moving from mine to Harry’s who was already watching me and when our eyes met on the rearview mirror he gave me a sweet smile that I kindly returned rolling my eyes afterwards.
The drive to the airport was filled with small arguments of which one of them gets to get the bigger bedroom. Dylan and Emma stated that they’re going to share a room and its Dylan’s cabin but Harry argues he’s older which ended at Dylan laughing his ass off while Emma tried to explain to him the stuff they’re going to do requires a lot of space hinting at all the dirty deeds.
“You don’t want the big room?” I heard Dylan’s voice from beside me. I just shrugged not knowing the reason behind me not wanting the bigger room. “If Harry wins the argument then it’s yours.” he states coyly.
I stare at him searching if there was a mocking tone in there somewhere but there was none. “What made you think I was going to share a room with Harry?” I ask him and he looked like he was going to burst in laughter any minute now. “Are you kidding me? So you’re one of those people who fuck and leave?” he says his voice filled with venom.
“I haven’t slept with Harry.” I snap back my anger getting the best of me. Who does he think he is judging me for the stuff I do? “Oh, so you’re denying last night after I called Harry down you two didn’t have a go at it?” he states his eyes shooting daggers at me.
“No, I don’t know where Harry was but I was upstairs with Darcy, you’re neither my dad nor my boyfriend, I don’t have to explain this to you.” I tell him trying my best to control my voice. “You and Harry; aren’t you two together?” he asks softly. He seems relaxed after he heard my confession he practically pulled out of me. I turned to the window ignoring him before I lose the image I built of him.
After we landed and Dylan drove us to his cabin, we were all pretty much tired from the day’s events so we all promised to hang out later and went to sleep. Being the last to choose rooms Harry at least wanted to have the room with a great view so I ended up with a room besides Dylan and Emma’s. I’m probably going to stay up all night with the way they looked at each other and it’s a given that they’re both active in bed so this was going to be a long night for me and a fun one for them.
