Chapter two:
the next three days went by really fast and the day before we were going all went into preparing if something would happen to Delilah under the day, right now I have 911 on speed dial and also her doctors and other important people that I should call if she was to get sicker during the day. Delilah was oblivious to all preparing that went into this project since it would only bring her down.
Right now it was the morning of THE day and I had taken a day off from school. I had texted Delilah to be done at eight thirty. I got up from bed and took a quick shower and then went out and put on some make up and brushed my long brown hair which this morning to my delight had curled at the bottom. I grabbed a tassel and pulled my hair up in a high pony tail.
I walked out with my towel wrapped around my body and went straight for my wardrobe. I picked out a light blue skirt that went mid-thigh and had a high waist. I grabbed a white shirt with a high neck and tucked it into my skirt, I picked out a ring and put it, then I clasped my necklace on before I went down stairs.
“god morning” I said to Eve who was eating a sandwich to breakfast and reading her morning paper as usual.
“morning, sleep well” she asked and I nodded while a I grabbed a mug and poured some coffee in before I grabbed a bagel that laid ready for me.
“thanks “ I said before I bit in.
“no problem” she answered. I sat down next to her and grabbed the other paper and started reading, I sat there for half an hour before I started to put my wallet and phone in my cross body bag and some other things that I might need. I stepped into my ballet flats and grabbed my jeans jacket and I was out the door. I went out to the garage and stepped in the car and started it up and then I speed down the road to the home. I parked and went inside and looked at the clock eight twenty-five, perfect.
“hi, is Delilah down” I asked in the reception.
“yep, she’s in the court and eating breakfast” she said and I said thanks and went into the court and saw her sitting and laughing with some of the other patients. I stopped and smiled at the sight before walking again.
“you ready” I asked when I neared the table and she jumped out of the chair with a big grin on her face.
“yep, been for the past hour just sitting here waiting for you” she said and came over and hooked her arm through mine.
“nice, so we need to be there in twenty minutes so we should get going” I said to her.
“okay” she said and started to drag me through the court yard and I said bye to everyone while laughing slightly at her eagerness . she dragged me all the way to the parking lot where she stopped.
“It’s the white porche cabriolet” I said as she looked questioning at me. She looked a bit shocked at first but then her eyes began searching for the car which she soon found, after I began walking in the right direction. We walked up to the car and I saw her eyes looking longingly at the driver’s seat. And that’s when it hit me; she would never be able to take her driver’s license, she’d never be able to finish school or even be able to get married, all of the things that everyone took for granted would be ripped from her before she could even grasp at it.
I wonder what she would have done with her life, what she would have worked with would she get married and have children early or later in life, who would have been the love of her life.
“so when we get there they said we would be escorted by some body guard to where Justin is and then as I said yesterday we get one hour alone with Justin and then we just lock around listen to the rehearsal and then we have an hour to prepare for the concert” I said just to make sure that she knows what’s going to happen.
