As a new moon rose, the sound of a single shot cut through the dense silence.
No one bothered to, or thought to call the cops, as it was a common occurrence for a sound like that to echo through the alleyways.
The scum of the Earth roamed these streets, and it is less common to not hear a gunshot than it is to hear one.
However, tonight is a bit different though as the criminal routine is broken.
Tonight the victim fights back.
