Lisa's POV
Chaeng and I are currently at the cafeteria. There are no students except for the both of us, since the club meetings already started.
"What are we going to talk about Chaeng? You really missed having some alone time with your couz." I joked while eating my sandwich.
Chaeng remained with her serious face, "Lisa... We need to talk about you and Jennie." I looked at her confusedly.
"What do you mean? We didn't do anything Chaeng."
"Lisa, don't you think that you guys are moving too fast?" Well, that thought always comes to my mind, but I can't do anything about it. I like Jennie. I know that I like Jennie, isn't that enough?
"I do, but you know that I like her Chaeng. I'm not playing around, and I know she isn't either."
"I know that the both of you are not like that. But you need to get to know each other first before moving forward."
"We do know each other. I know---" Chaeng cut me off with so much frustration.
"I mean know her more deeply. Know each other's past." I brushed my hair out of my face, I was getting frustrated too.
"Chaeng, we'll eventually get there. I need you to trust me on this. If you can't trust Jennie, then please at least trust me." I held her hand that was placed on the table.
She sighed, "I trust her too. I just... Don't trust the timing of this all. I'll leave you to it Lisa. I know that whatever you're doing, it makes you happy and it makes her happy as well, but whatever happens, you promise to never shut me out okay?" Chaeng held my hand that was on top of hers tightly, with a pleading look.
I nodded, "I promise Chaeng." She relaxed a little and leaned back on her chair. It was still confusing me, with the way she's acting. She isn't usually like this. Maybe she's just really concerned this time.
-----
After "the talk" with my cousin, I went to look for where the photography club was. I peeked through every classrooms and eventually I found the club at the far end of the hall. I peeped through the glass window on the door and saw that they already started. I took a deep breath and went in.
I went through the door and saw their eyes turned to me. "You're late.", says the teacher.
"I'm sorry Ms. Yoona. I went to the clinic because my cheek was swelling." I made up an excuse and showed her my bruised cheek that was slowly healing.
She told me that they were still on the introduction part and motioned for me to introduce myself.
I sent a small wave, "Hi guys, I'm Lalisa Manoban. You can call me Lisa or whatever you prefer, just not Lalisa. I'm one of your seniors for this year."
Someone asked from them, "You're the lead singer of The ACES right? You guys are so cool!"
"Yes I am. Thank you so much for supporting us." I bowed down. Ms. Yoona told me to sit on the empty seat by the window and I obliged.
Ms. Yoona started teaching us the basics of photography, and explaining to the new members the parts of cameras and different camers types. I was just listening attentively 'cause even though I've heard her speech about cameras for 4 years, I still find it fascinating.
"It's good to see you again Manoban." I looked over to my right side and got shocked.
"Niki??" She laughed lightly while I am still confused seeing her here.
-----
"Why didn't you tell me that you were transferring here?" The club meetings already ended and now we're headed to the cafeteria for our lunch.
