CHAPTER 16

GOENKA HOUSE

             "Papa, please calm down. Woh log shock mein hain. It's just a matter of time." Kirti shouts running after her dad.

             "They slapped her beta. How can they? Aise kaun karta hai? I'm scared for them. I don't want them there any longer." Manish says.

        "I agree bhai. I can't stand here while our Naira and Karthik get mistreated. We have to do something." Akilesh agrees.

       "Papa, bade papa calm down. I know them. They just need sometime. Also Naksh said he'll take care na. I trust him." Shubam comforts them.

      "Haan. They are just angry. Even you were when I told you about Ani and then it took you a day to say ok na. They don't have a choice here. They get to know that their daughter is pregnant and married on the same day. They'll come around." Kirti adds.

       Suhasini Dadi was watching all this happen from a distance. "My kittu is going to become a father." She was happy and excited. It was a well known fact that she wasn't a fan of Aniket or Naira but she was not going to hold that against her great grandchildren. She was sure of one thing. She will not allow anyone to mistreat her family.

      She goes to the hall and everyone stops talking. "Kirti kitne din baad aye ho. Sab teek?" She asks to which she receives a nod.

        Suhasini Dadi exits the house after giving Shub and Kirti a loving pat on their cheeks. Her actions left the Goenka clan in shock. She spoke to Kirti after years.

      (I'll call Suhasini Dadi as GDadi from now. Getting difficult to type😬)

     GDadi was in the car on the way to Singhania house. She was going to make sure everything was right.

SINGHANIA HOUSE

       Kaira were sitting in Naira's room with Gayu and Naksh planning on what to do. The current situation at home hadn't changed one bit. Naitik and Akshara were angry and the grandparents were beyond pissed. No one wanted to speak to them even Nani.
       
        The current topic of discussion was the living situation. Karthik knew he will have to leave his PG and Naira didn't want to stay without Karthik. They could move in with Shub and Kirti and that was the only plausible option.

        "Why not in Karthik's house? His parents love you and know about you. Why not there? Also Kirti aur Shubam kyun alag reh rahein hain?" Naksh quizzes.

       "Woh actually..... dadi" Karthik drags a bit trying to find words. Just when he was about to explain they heard a loud "Kittu, Naira."
