An entire month had slipped by since Lord Tsukasa had been sent off that night, and as the seasons changed, the world outside transformed into a riot of gold, red, and brown. Each passing day, (Y/N) found herself wandering aimlessly, thoughts drifting like autumn leaves.

I wonder if Lord Tsukasa will come back...

"Hurmm~ No matter how long I waited yesterday, she didn't show... The only woman I came across at that high-class establishment was you~ ♡" Lord Tsukasa had sung playfully, his tone teasing, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"A true feeling, happiness. Before all of this mess, I was always with Amane... I feel like I'm too possessive over him, even though he's my own brother. I love him, but my love is a bit weird. But after I met you, I don't know... how to describe it," he had confessed, his expression inscrutable, leaving (Y/N) both flattered and confused.

"The truth is, I am not the prospective bride you and your brother came here to meet," (Y/N) had blurted out, her heart pounding like a drum.

"You've said that countless times, but..." Lord Tsukasa had replied, that same unreadable expression plastered on his face, as if he were trying to solve a riddle.

"That day, I was at the other restaurant to deliver some premade food, not for any sort of matchmaking..." she explained, each word heavy with the weight of her feelings.

"Premade food...? Oh... I..." His surprise had flickered across his features, a moment of genuine shock that made (Y/N) want to giggle despite the tension.

She couldn't help but wonder how their matchmaking had turned out, though she had no way of knowing. For days on end, thoughts of him occupied her mind, a stubborn echo that refused to fade. What if I never forget him?

"Blegh..." she sighed, pressing her forehead repeatedly against the cool countertop, trying to will away the headache that had taken residence there.

"What's wrong, Sis? Still feeling troubled?" (B/N) burst into the kitchen, arms laden with plates of food, his cheerful demeanor a burst of sunshine in her gray world. "When a good sleep won't cure what ails you, all you can do is keep active!"

His contagious energy made her smile, even if just a little.

"You're right," she replied, managing a small grin, feeling a flicker of hope.

I can't stay stuck in the past forever. I need to keep moving forward.

Determined, she threw herself back into her cooking, the rhythm of chopping and stirring a comforting distraction. Just then, (B/N) careened into the kitchen again, his expression suddenly serious, like a dramatic scene change in a play.

"Sis, someone's here," he announced, eyes wide with excitement.

"A customer? Why haven't you ushered them to an empty seat, then?" she asked, slightly confused, glancing around as if expecting a rush of patrons.

"That's not what I mean! Somebody's here to see YOU," he emphasized, pointing dramatically like a character in a soap opera.

"Me?" she echoed, bewildered, her heart racing at the thought.
