This story is a work of fiction. The names, characters, places, and events came from the fruitful mind of the author's imagination. Any resemblance from a person's persona, either living or dead, and/or situations and events are purely coincidence.

This is the Book 2 of If Only Trilogy. If you haven't read If Only I Stayed (Book 1), I suggest you start with that first before proceeding to read this story. Most scenes and flow of the story are highly connected with the Book 1. Please bear with the cheeziness of my construction of words and phrases as well as my grammars and typos. Contains scenes and languages that are not suitable for very young audiences.

Tranquility..

The peaceful breeze whispering to me gently touched my skin. The faint chatters from the students passing by were mixed with the sound of purling leaves swaying with the wind.

And there she is. Walking in the vast field of university. With books in her arms, she paved the way through that green land swiftly. But that wasn't a hindrance for my eyes to caught her every movement. The wind whooshed heavily. Her hair harshly blew on her face. She laughed as she tried to take the group of hair away and wipe it off her face.

A smile slowly crept on my lips. I smiled as I watched her giggle when her hair return on her face because of the wind that blew again.

"Love?" A sweet voice called me.

Yes. Tranquility at its finest.

But my smiles immediately vanished the moment that guy helped her tucked the strands of her hair behind her ear. That Seiji guy was even grinning widely at her as he caress her head and gently fixed her hair into place.

"Hey, love?"

I formed a small smile and looked at the girl approaching me. "Meiko.."

I am leaning against a tree near the familiar kiosk adjacent to the field where I used to spend time with her but now became Meiko and I's hang out place.

I secretly glanced back at those two people behind the nearing Meiko. And there I saw Jacsynne happily laughing her heart out as that Seiji guy said something to her.

It's been months after the issues and the chaos between us ceased. The calmness of everyday's events and serenity it gives to everyone was the exact opposite of what's been going on inside of me. Of what I truly feel.

"Hi, love." Meiko greeted as she kissed me.

I tried hard to make my smile for her stay and express it with utmost genuity just how I always project. How I should opt to be and how people expects me to be. Just like how hard I try with everything everytime.

I took a peek one last time on Jac and Seiji.. and can't help but to think that that should be me. I tried so hard to suppress my feelings for her. I tried so hard to not think of her. I tried so hard to forget her. I tried so hard to leave her. I tried so so hard to let her go. And it didn't worked. Even just a bit of hope that I will eventually, there's none. So now, I'm going to try differently. I'm going to try doing what I want. And I'm gonna get her back. No matter what.
