I was in my room drawing a picture of me and mom. I think it's turning out great! My mom was in the kitchen making lunch for us both. My father left when I was little, mom says he's in a better place. I often wonder what she means, but she says he's never coming back. I asked her why he didn't take us but she told me it wasn't our time yet. I walked out to my mom smiling holding my drawing ,"mama! I drew a picture of us!" She stopped cooking for a second to look and smiled happily. "Awe! That's so amazing! Sit down at the table and I'll hang your picture up after we eat." I nod and set the picture on the counter in the kitchen before walking to the dining table and sitting down waiting for her.

~timeskip to after eating~

Mom was cleaning up the dishes as I went in and asked her to go play outside.
"Mom? Can I go play outside?"
She smiled and nodded," be careful and watch out for cars." I nodded before going to put on my shoes and running outside to play. I was walking down the block smiling and waving at people when I was suddenly stopped by another boy smiling.
"Hello." he said to me smiling.
