The first day

-jaspers pov-

I woke up to my mom yelling for me "JASPER WAKE UP! YOU NEED TO WALK PERIDOT TO SCHOOL!" I slowly lifted my head and looked at the time, it was past 7 and I needed to be out and walking by 8 I slowly fell out of bed and walked over to the shower I showered got dressed and ran downstairs to grab my lunch "bye hun! I'll text peridots mum your on your way" my mom shouted as I walked out and walked Down the street to peridots house I walked up the driveway to her door to see a tall slim girl with black hair she turned to me "you must be jasper.." she looked annoyed "y-yeah... are you lapis?" She nodded as the door slowly opened revealing peridot "h-hey!" She slowly slipped out the door "hey peri you need help?" Lapis grabes her arm and helped tor down the driveway I grabbed her small bag and book and we walked down the street and walked to school "h-hey jasper it's been a while" I looked down at her "yeah it has.." she smiled up at me I looked away why was she so nice to me, after my gang members beat her up.... "well bye peri I'll see ya later " lapis let go of peridot and began to run to her other friends down the street "oh...bye lapis..." peridot was slowly following me, I looked back at her and picked her up "this will be faster..." she was startled but began to chuckle while we ran down the street I put her down and helped her get her balance "you can leave if you want.." she looked at me "why would I leave you?" I looked down at her "you know why..I'm a looser..."I felt bad I probably made her feel this way when everyone wanted to be my friend, I ditched her..."well today that's gonna change" I pulled ""her to the font doors and walked in with her "let's go get our locker combos and class schedules" I said heading to the office she followed with a huge smile on her face "welcome to  diamond high..names?" A woman with two buns looked up at us one of her eyes was a pearl white with a huge scar around it
"J-jasper quartz and peridot XG..." peridot Stared at the woman "we don't have a XG do you have a different last name?" The woman looked up at peri "d-diamond?" Peri was  trembling "mhm we have you two here's your combos and your  schedules " she pushes the papers towards me "b-bye" I grabbed peri and pulled her out of the office "did you see her eye..." she whispered "mhm" I started laughing "since when is your last name diamond?" I turned to face her as we looked for our lockers "w-well when my mom passed my dad got engaged to-" I stared at her in shock "YOUR MOM PASSED?! WHEN??!" She was startled "l-last m-month.. m-my dads getting married next mont- can we talk about this later.." "oh uh yeah..." I felt bad "well here they are 103 and 104" she looked at her locker and opened it I did the same we both put everything away and headed to our Homerooms

"Hey how was your day?" Lapis leaned on the locker by mine "it was ok..just a bit boring without you.." I began to grab my stuff "want me to walk you home?" She looked over at me "n-no thanks jaspers already walking me..." lapis rolled her eyes and stormed off  "HEYY! P-DOT IS THAT YOU?!" I turned "AMY?!" I went as fast as I could to her which wasn't that fast due to me crutches,the second I reached her I fell into her arms "I THOUGH YOU TRANSFERRED BECAUSE OF... oh my..." she was looking at my leg "yeah..but im ok..jasper said she's gonna try and keep me safe.." she looked surprised "JASPER??! MY SISTER?! She doesn't ever talk to me any more" jasper and  amethysts parents split up jasper with her mom Amy with her dad "well I should get going..." amethyst planted a soft kiss on my cheek and walked away "you made my sister are a thing?" jasper began putting away her textbooks "no i don't know why she kissed me..." I turned and closed my locker "oh uh I forgot to ask if your free tomorrow night" I looked at jasper "yeah  why" she turned to me "m-my dad is going out of town and I'm k-kinda scared to stay home alone" jasper chuckled "so you want me to spend the night?" Jasper closed her locker and started walking down the hall out of the building "if you could..." I followed "well then it's a date" A DATE?! "Uhh yeah" Jasper picked my up and held my crutches until we got to my door where she put me down and waved goodbye "see you tomorrow bright and early peri!" I waved back and closed the door
