CHAPTER 2 - HERstory

When I woke up in the ambulance, it wasn't Bey by my side. At first, I thought I was hallucinating.

"Just keep breathing, breathing, breathing." Ariana cried, holding my hand tightly.

I smiled, and tried to speak, but it seemed whatever attacked me really packed a punch.

"They're bringing you to your private hospital in your mansion. I already told your parents what happened." The words barely came out her mouth.

I smiled once more before falling asleep again, and catched a glimpse of the doctor in the vehicle with us.

It was a tall, dark man, and he was quite attractive. But he looked gay as hell. His nametag read Aubrey Graham, and that was the last I saw before waking up in the hospital.

"Finally! You're awake!" Ariana rushed to my bed, looking like she hadn't slept in a while.

"Where is Bey?"

"What? That's the first thing you worry about after you got attacked?"

"Don't play with me."

"Eh, it doesn't matter I guess. She got in a fight with that other girl. Her name is Cardi, I think. She was too exhausted after the fight and passed out. Her parents found out and picked her up."

Once more, Bey proved just how much I meant to her. I couldn't even contain the smile on my face, until I finally noticed.

"Why are you here?"

"I wasn't going to let you die, come on."

"After what I did to you... I deserve it."

"No, no, no... Actually, yes. But you can't change the past. What happened between you and me... maybe it's time to push aside our history."

"HERstory you mean." I said.

"Sure Noki-, Nicki.", she smiled, and I smiled back.

"And besides," Ari said, and took my hand, brushing it gently. "He was the reason things didn't work out between us... it was just easier to blame you."

"I get that, but Ari... promise me he won't get between our friendship again."

She twitched when I said the word friendship, but pretended it didn't bother her.

"I promise I won't let Tom Holland ruin our relationship again."
