"the universe plots to bring those who can heal each other together."

- Nikita Gill

Lilith Rowe had it all - popularity, love, respect - back in her home town until it was ripped away from her, leaving Lilith, or Lily, tarnished with a label that claimed her to be crazy, it was wrong, of course but that didn't matter to small minded people.

Lily was compassionate beyond belief, empathetic and lovable. People didn't understand her, her parents didn't understand her, nobody did.

Lily felt emotions more than anybody else, she felt them with such force that occasionally, they made her stumble backwards, clutching at her chest and willing herself to just, breath. But Lily didn't just feel her own emotions, she felt the emotions of everybody around her.

Every emotion, felt by every single person around her and Lily couldn't breath, she couldn't differentiate between her emotions and the emotions from the old man two houses down from her - he had just lost his wife - and his sadness crippled Lily.

Lily tried to explain, she tried to tell somebody, anybody, but nobody listened, nobody believed her.

They called her crazy, they said she was a freak. Lily felt their confusion, their fear and disgust and knew it was all aimed at her. Lily felt the fear from her own parents, she felt their unease and she knew, she knew  they didn't believe her.

The shrink didn't believe her, either. Claiming she needed a 3 month stay on a psychiatric ward - for her own benefit, that only made matters worse. The crippling depression, which quickly turned into suicidal tendencies, the paranoia, the fear, anxiety.

Lily felt rage, hot burning rage that raced through her veins like molten lava, begging for a release, of course, Lily never agreed. Instead, she kept it inside of her, she placed every single emotion inside of her into a metaphorical bottle and closed the lid on it, tight.

And Lily promised that she would never, ever open that bottle
