Marty ran off as Doc tried to connect the two cables to the tower. Marty got in the time vehicle and drove off to the Blue Bird Motel where the starting line was poorly painted on the street. " Damn it Doc why did you have to tear up that letter, I thought we had more time. wait a minute i got a time machine i got all the time i want. I will just go back early and warn him." Marty gave himself ten extra minutes then the DeLorean made a funny noise and everything was turned off. " Oh no" Marty said. Marty tried desperately to get the time vehicle to start again but it wouldn't obey him. " come on this time come on!" Marty said thought his teeth, just then the sky light up with a huge flash, Marty had missed the lightning bolt. Doc ran as fast as he could to check on Marty. " Whats wrong kid?" Doc asked worried. " The damn thing wouldn't start up." Marty said about to cry. Doc looked at the DeLorean and helped Marty out of it. " I fell like I'm going to vomit!" Marty said running over behind a bush and he came back a short time later. Doc handed him a few dollars and told him to get something to eat at Lou's Cafe. Doc messed with the DeLorean as Marty ran off to Lou's, Marty walked inside and sat at the counter then at a booth. Goldie Wilson approached him, "What will it be...hey you don't look so good kid whats wrong?" Goldie sat with the sickened boy. " oh nothing just uhhh girl troubles that's all" Marty replied with a lie. "Don't let them get you down boy there's other fish in the sea." Goldie replied with a smile showing his gold tooth," So what will it be?" he took out his notepad. " a Pepsi and some chicken soup." Marty said leaning his head back and resting it on the back of the booth. " OK that will be right up" Goldie walked away. Marty looked out the window and saw the now broken clock stuck at the time 10:04." Well a broken clock is right twice a day i guess" Marty joked as Goldie returned with his food. " Did you see the Clock tower get struck by lightning? I think its broken now i hope they fix it soon so i can tell when my shift is over." Goldie said walking away. Marty sipped his Pepsi and ate a spoon full of soup just then the doors flung open and Biff Tannen walked in with his crew.
