Port Mafia Hideout

"So...You are going to cut me? Is that the first time you say after meeting for a long time?" Chuuya sneered, not moving from his position so did Haru and Dazai on the floor. "In a while that I haven't seen you, you have come to talk in such a tone."

And to Haru's surprise, Chuuya moved from his spot, slowly walking towards her. "Aren't you going to cut me if I make any move? See, I am making such a big movement. Command your blade to cut me." Haru clenched her fists. There's no way she can really hurt him. Not him. Debating inside her mind to decide the best action, Chuuya was in no time in front of her. And then Haru blacked out, with Chuuya knocking her unconscious by hitting her neck.

"Naïve...You really are naïve" Chuuya said carrying the unconscious body of Haru with his arms. "What are you planning to do with her?" Dazai questioned Chuuya, sitting up from the floor. "I am going to bring her back to Port Mafia. You literally kidnapped her years ago from this place. She is just going back to where she belong" Chuuya answered.

"Kidnapped? Back to the place where she belong? Do you really think so like that, Chuuya?" Dazai questioned again with his bangs covering his place. To that question, Chuuya hesitated a little before answering. He knew deep inside in his mind that was not true. He even still couldn't forget the last word that Haru said to him. He just couldn't accept it. "It is still better than leaving her in your hands. Letting her come into this place. You really think you can bind her to you forever?" Chuuya was in no way losing a fight before it started. Even when he knew what the result would be.

"It is her life. It is her choice that she followed me. Nor you or I can interfere. She can live as she want. She deserves that much freedom. We the outsiders can only give her advice or options. In the end, it is her who will choose how she will live her own life" Dazai said with his eyes facing the ground. "What freedom? You are saying some shit like that after all this time.."

"Chuuya, you are still chasing after a phantom like back then. You just push whatever you want to believe Haru to be. You do not know anything about her. Don't be such a sore loser" Dazai cut off Chuuya. Chuuya was stunned for a second. He didn't know what to say back. And that fact infuriates him more so than ever. He clenched his teeth, grasping his hands on Haru's body tightly.

"You should know better, Chuuya. If you bring her back to Port Mafia, she will be turned into a weapon again by Mori-san for her ability, who will slaughter both enemies and allies. Do you really want that to happen? Do you want her back in Port Mafia that much? Do you think Haru will be happy?" Dazai said slowly closing between him and Chuuya. 'It is really ironic. The ability that was supposed to protect her became the very reason that she became a weapon in Port Mafia. I am sure you don't want that either, do you, Aikawa?'

"I...I am...." Chuuya was at a loss to say. He just....he just wanted his dear friend back or maybe....he was jealous. Jealous that his former friend and partner could live so freely under the light, while he was unable to. He thought that darkness would be his salvation. That's why he accepted the invitation to join Port Mafia. He even first thought that the two of them wouldn't be able to run for so long, the Port Mafia would catch them. That's why he didn't even bother to think when Haru left her note, thinking that it was a whim of Dazai.

But he was wrong. Not only was he wrong about them being able to run away, they could live freely like that. Seeing them living like that, he even thought that maybe he might be able to. He even got that glimpse of hope at one time when he was suddenly dragged back into the darkness when his boss ordered him to go to west for a job. 'Ah...It could be that I want Haru to tell me to go with her that night instead of leaving such a note'

"And there will be a meeting between top 5 executives tomorrow, Chuuya" Dazai finally stopped a few centimeters before Chuuya and those words made Chuuya snapped out of his thoughts. "Impossible. That is a meeting of critical importance that only occurs once every several years, to determine what direction to take as an organization. If there were one then I would have been notified already"

"The reason it's happening is because of a certain letter that I send to the upper ranks the other day" Dazai smirked. "A letter? What do you mean by a letter?" Chuuya asked. "The letter says that if I were to fall, all of your secrets will come to light." Chuuya then finally realized what Dazai was planning. "You have me, a former executive of Port Mafia, a traitor after all. And now not only one, but two. So then even hypothetically if you were to kill me and take Haru back to Port Mafia, all of the upper ranks' secrets would be all out. And if the public prosecutors caught those secrets, all of Port Mafia executives would be executed a hundred times, including you, Chuuya. That's why it's more than enough of a threat to trigger the meeting."

Chuuya couldn't believe the man in front of him. If Chuuya wasn't his former partner then he would certainly think of Dazai as a real devil, who somehow wormed his way to Earth. Chuuya was again given a choice that he had to give in no matter what he did. He had always hated being given choices like those and he knew that Dazai knew that too. If he did kill Dazai here then, he would be driven out of Port Mafia. And even if he didn't kill Dazai but just bring Haru back to Port Mafia, he knew she wouldn't be happy either way. There's really was no choice.

"Really, you are really stubborn, Chuuya" Dazai's voice pulled Chuuya back to reality from his train of thoughts. "I assure you this is the most peaceful way out of this" Dazai sighed, growing tired of Chuuya's hesitation. "Okay then, how about this? If you really want to bring Haru back to Port Mafia, I will arrange a meeting for you two" Dazai said, giving Chuuya the final push into letting him go and bringing Haru back.

"R...Really?" Chuuya was surprised. He didn't expect this, not at all. "Yes, yes, you will meet with her face to face and ask whether she wants to return or not. That's her own choice. And most important of all, she would also like to meet you, in a peaceful way" Dazai answered lazily. He didn't really want to do this but he got no choice too. "She...Haru wants to...meet me?" Chuuya asked looking at Haru's unconscious face. 'Chuuya.not only you are stubborn but you are also really dense. Well, it just works in favor for me'

"Yes, that's why would you be so kindly return her back to me? I don't want to see you and Haru get any closer than that" Dazai said stretching out his hands. "Huh.. It's not like I want to be close to her or something. I just thought that lying her on the floor would be cold to her" Chuuya said with his face beeting red. "Ah, really?" Dazai carried Haru and went up the stairs. "Hey, Dazai, you should keep your promise" Chuuya shouted from behind. "Yes, yes and it's not like I'm doing for your sake. I will contact you again at a later date" Dazai answered, leaving the small figure in the darkness wondered about many things.
