The Villainess Is Quite Interesting

Prologue (remake)

Two people are seen somewhere in the academy outside where students normally didn't come by and they are playing chess.

"Check"

A beautiful silver hair young lady with blueish eyes covered her expression with a fan just so she can smile slightly but delighted to see that this may be the day where she finally won against the black hair and black-colored eyes in chess.

She already prepared for all kinds of things to respond to his counterattacks and she already calculated that she will win no matter what kind of moves he gonna delivered against her.

The young man takes a good look at the young lady and felt no doubt she is delighted to see that he got no moves to counterattack despite she is covering her mouth with the fan.

The young man returned his gaze on the chessboard and felt he might gonna lose this time around and so he made a very unexpected that made the young lady in front of him got frozen.

'Eh?'

"Eh?"

The young lady got so surprised that she let a voice out she normally doesn't make in both the young man in front of her and the public.

And the young man just realizes he made another unexpected move that he made the only move in countless situations the young lady thought to destroy him thoroughly.

'This is... Impossible'

The young lady thought in despair that this guy gonna make his consecutive 365 wins against the queen of chess player in the Academy.

And so after some few minutes...

"I... admit defeat..."

The young lady hung her head depressingly enough that the young man felt pity for her as he only made that move just because he was lucky enough to make a comeback move.

And so the young man comforts her that no one in the academy even the prince she had been fiance with, would not dare to do that kind of action towards her as she would insult the person so much that a grown man would cry afterward after hearing her words.

And what did the young man did towards the young lady is...

Petting her head.

"Don't worry there will be the day where you gonna defeat me in chess."

The young man comforting words had made the young lady realizes what the young man in front of her is doing.

'He's... Petting my head!'

Normally she would remove the hand on her and says some words about that kind of familiarity action is not wise to do to someone who is engaged with a fiance.

But...

'It's fine to be selfish for a bit'

The young woman closes her eyes just to experience the feeling of head patting.

'Besides, my fiance keeps trying to talk to that woman despite my best efforts to educate him that he should not do it while he was engaged as he is a crown prince as his enemies would use that kind of fidelity to attack his chances to be a king so I am bit tired and want to experience his comfort, just a bit.'

While the young lady is deeply thinking about her matters.

The young man notices something wrong with her as she would normally insult him for a bit by doing all kinds of actions towards her.

The young man felt conflicted about whether he should now try directly involve with the world he is living in.

'Should I help her out? But that would mean I would directly involve with all kinds of problems once I act upon them...'

The young man takes a good look at the young lady and thought.

'Yeah... I guess it's time for me to help this girl and besides.'

The young man removes his hands from the young lady's head which causes her to raise her head and wonders why the young man stops petting her which immediately made her blush at what she did earlier.

'The Villainess is quite interesting.'

The young man smiles gently which causes the young lady blushes more.
