author's note

there are only a few places in which i get ideas that i actually act upon. the shower, for example, is both a common and marvelous place to just think. this was, sadly, not as poetic (if a shower can be considered poetic). i came up with this at nearly midnight, an incredible inconvenience, and consequently found myself furiously writing from one day into another.

i don't often write short stories, never mind actually publishing them. normally they come in snippets of an idea, something that some day i might expand upon (but that rarely happens). this was my first venture into short stories, and, if all goes to plan, will not be my last.

how did i do? i enjoyed writing it, but that does not mean it was any good. is it enjoyable to read? what are some things that i can improve?

what are your theories and interpretations? this one doesn't leave too, too much to the imagination, but i want to hear them. after all, i am only an author, and my own imagination is severely limited. i wanted to keep it as vague possible for specifically this purpose.

what are some things that you noticed? i added some rather veiled symbolism (if i do say so myself).

and, finally, what are your questions for me? tell me all of them. (i may even do a q&a chapter if i get enough!)

thank you so much for reading this!
