Diana's POV
I woke up the next morning to my favorite song: Daddy's Girl by 1 Girl Nation.
You heard me say my first words
Watched me crawl before I walked
People say I have your eyes
But I've always wanted to have your heart
Ooh one in a million and I got to be yours
Our souls are forever tied together
Through the tears and all the laughter
You love me like no other
You say I'm the center of your whole wide world
I'll always be my daddy's girl
I heard pounding on my wall. "Diana turn off your stupid alarm! I would like to sleep a little bit longer!" Sarah yelled through our shared wall. I laughed and turned it off. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I turned on the water and waited for it to fill up. The water was a little too hot, so I held my hand over it for a millisecond. The water cooled down a little bit and I climbed in. Ten seconds later, my tail popped up.
I washed everything from my hair to the farthest reaches of my tail. I climbed out and pulled in the hair dryer. I dried off and walked back to my room. I picked out my outfit for the day and walked out back to go for a swim. I dove in and swam close to shore for about ten minutes.
I climbed out and dried off with a towel that I had brought with me. I walked back in the house and to the kitchen.
"Good morning, Diana." Sarah was pouring cereal and milk into a bowl carefully. I looked over at the coffee maker which was almost full. I poured myself a cup and made myself some breakfast. I got a straw, so I could drink my coffee. I know, you shouldn't do that, but I can't really avoid it. I sipped at my coffee between bites of cereal and toast.
Once I was finished, I put my dishes in the sink and got all of my stuff for school. I put on my backpack and waited for Sarah. After about five minutes, I yelled through the house, "Sarah, come on! We're going to be late for school!"
"I'm coming!" She yelled back. She walked in with all of her stuff. "Ready?"
I rolled my eyes. "No I was just waiting for you to get here so that you would wait on me to get ready. Of course I'm ready."
"Geez, you didn't have to be so rude about it." We walked out the door and down to Max's house.
She was waiting at the edge of her driveway. "What took you guys so long?"
I pointed at Sarah. "This girl took forever to get ready. I waited on her for like five minutes."
"I was doing something important!"
"Oh, yeah. Like what?"
"Asking Alex if he wanted to meet up as soon as we got to school."
"You could have done that while we were walking here!"
"Guys, lets just get going. We don't want to be late," Max said as we started to walk toward Alyssa's house. We met Alyssa and Cameron with intertwined hands at the edge of Alyssa's driveway. We continued the walk to school just talking about random things.
We got there and saw Jackson and Alex waiting on us. "Hey, guys. What's up?" Alex asked as his hand intertwined with my sister's.
"Nothing much," Max answered. My hand found it's way to Jackson's. We walked to class like that: my hand in Jackson's, Alyssa's in Cameron's, Sarah's in Alex's, and Max all by herself. I looked at Max to read her mind. I am such a loner. I wish I had a boyfriend, specifically Dalton. Just tell him that you like him. You know that he likes you back. Just do it! Later. No, now! Ugh, mental arguments. I laughed quietly, but Jackson noticed. "What are you laughing about?"
