Chapter 7

I saw Duke or...Willy make a small smirk. "Did you hear that?" I started to panic. "Sure did." Willy's smirk grew when my face started to turn red. "Um j-just ignore what I said." I quickly said wanting to move onto a different subject. "I'm used to it don't worry about it. People have a thing for Wonka." Willy shrugged and took off his hat. His wig poof'd up since his hat held down his wig. I laughed at the way it looked and I could tell that Duke was rolling his eyes even though he had glasses on. I walked up to him and took off his glasses. "I just know you rolled your eyes." I placed the glasses down on his desk. "You already know me and we just met like a day ago." Duke joked. I chuckled and shrugged my shoulders. "I guess it's just a sign that we're meant to be friends." I said as I watched Duke take off his silly Willy Wonka wig. He shrugged off his Willy Wonka coat. "I watched your live. I find you quite entertaining actually and you responded to my comment." Duke smiled then stopped. "Don't tell me you were the one that said they ate an Oompa Loompa." I laughed and shook my head then said. "No that one wasn't me. I was the one that just said hi Duke." "Oh okay I remember responding to that comment. I've got to change out of these Willy Wonka clothes." Duke said grabbing the hem of his shirt. "Oh- uh yeah I'll just turn around." I turnt around blushing. After a couple seconds I heard Duke say "Okay you can look now." I turnt around and a smile tugged on my lips. He had a grey t-shirt and tan pants on. "Wow you look even better now." I joked but I really wish I wasn't joking. Dukes face started to turn red. "T-thanks." He stuttered out. I smiled and turnt on my heels when I heard the door open. "Hey Du-...oh!" His brother walked through the door and made eye contact with me. "Coraline right?" (I don't know Dukes brothers name so I'm just gonna wing it with the name Daniel) Dukes brother asked. "Sure am. It's nice to meet you..." i trailed off. "Daniel." He finished my sentence. I shook his hand and said "Well it's very nice to meet you Daniel." "You too. Hey Duke do you have my charger?" Daniel turnt to Duke. "Oh! Yeah I do it's in my bedroom on my nightstand." Duke responded. "Okay thanks." Daniel walked out of the room. "Well I guess you met my brother now." Duke ran a hand through his hair. "Yup." I popped my lips. "Wanna go downstairs?" Duke asked and I responded with "Yeah maybe we can watch tv or something." I followed Duke out of his room and downstairs into the living room. "So what do you want to watch?" Duke asked as we sat down on the couch. I gave him a knowing smile and he nodded smiling. He put on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I'm glad he understood me. During the movie I must've fallen asleep because I woke up to a warm body surrounding me. I didn't remember that from earlier. I snuggled more into the warm chest. I looked up at the tv and the group was in the tv room. The Mike Teavee song has just ended and now they were talking about the taffy puller. I looked up to the face of the warm body. Duke was fast asleep. I smiled and laid my head back on his chest. I was in my happy zone. I closed my eyes and fell back asleep. I woke back up to Duke shaking me. "Hey your phones ringing." I heard Duke say and i quickly grabbed my phone. "Thanks for waking me up." I checked my phone and it was Ava. I realized that I was still laying on Dukes chest so I quickly sat up and blushed. I answered the phone call and Ava was screaming. I shrieked from the sudden loudness. Quickly I put the phone on speaker. All that was heard was screaming. I winced and looked at Duke giving him a awkward smile. Duke laughed and Avas screaming eventually died down. "I GOT WILLY WONKAS HOODIES!" Ava yelled. Oh my...this is award. I side eyes Duke them looked back at my phone. "Oh that's nice Ava." I calmly said. "NO ITS NOT NICE ITS AMAZING! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!" Ava yelled once again. Duke held in laughter and I shook my head smiling. "Ava." "Yeah?" Ava asked. "I'm glad you got the hoodies and all but you interrupted my beauty sleep. Your evil!" I yawned. "Oh I'm so sorry madam for interrupting your beauty sleep....did you see his live this morning?"

"Yeah I seen it."

"He's so cute!" Ava shrieked.

I couldn't help it. I burst out laughing and so did Duke.

"Wait why are you laughing?! Who's that other voice?!" Ava was so confused.

"Hi Caroline's..." Duke trailed off not knowing who she was.

"Best friend." I corrected him.

"Best friend." Duke nodded.

There was silence for a while.

"Caroline Collins. Did...did you-is that Duke?!"

"Yeah it's Duke and you may or may not have been on speaker this whole time." I winced already knowing that Avas going to fangirl.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! OH MY GOSH! HIIII! "CAROLINE WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!" Ava was yelling again like earlier.

"Hi." Duke chuckled.

"Wait a dang minute...Coraline what are you doing sleeping over at Dukes house?" Ava asked slowly.

"Well we were watching a movie and we both fell asleep on the couch."

"Oooh okay." Ava has that little mischievous voice.

"Yup. Why do you have that voice?" I asked.

"No reason I just think that's really cute." Ava was now in her awe voice.

"How is that cute?" I asked.

"Because I just know that you two cuddled." I could hear the smirk through Avas voice.

Me and Duke both looked at each other and blushed fiercely. I looked back down at my phone. "Um okay bye Ava." I quickly said then hung up. I put my phone back down on the table.
