Today Marty woke up like any other day, bored out of their mind, they wouldn't show it, of course, it was something they were used to by now, but today wasn't the same as always, the string on their left pinky kept poking, that red flashy string wouldn't stop wiggling around and that was just annoying Marty more by the second.

Slowly, Marty got up from the comfort of their bed to go and get ready for another day, they glazed walked across the halls, silence filling the air before they entered the bathroom, they looked up to gaze at their reflection admiring their beautiful dark eyes, a small scoff left Marty's lips as the red string became visible again, they hated to admit that they were excited to meet their soulmate one day, it was crazy how fate could get you united to the one person you're going to spend your life with, it was all so surreal to Marty. Once again Marty came back into reality and started to get unchanged, they got into the shower and stood there for a while, trying to collect their thoughts.

------------------------------------------

Marty walked around through the town, trying to find a place to relax after their long day of bullshit high school, Mart hated going to school and it wasn't something new, having to see all their friends with their soulmates just made Marty's insides tremble with envy. As Marty walked through the pavement they noticed a small cafe, it was simple yet pleasing to look at, it was Marty's only choice at the moment, they didn't want to catch up with one of their friends at the moment so they just sprinted fast to the other side of the pavement to get closer to the coffee shop.

Upon closer inspection, the cafe was small and few people were littered across it, Marty moved their hand up to the handle, pushing it to the front, making the small bell located on top of the door ring, causing Mart to slightly flinch at the sound, making them look down upon their entering, Marty finally rose their gaze up to meet the gaze of the barista there, it was a girl with soft silver hair and hazelish eyes. "Welcome! I'm Camille and ill take your order!" Marty smiled and nodded, getting closer to the counter where the barista apparently named Camille stood.

'She's rather odd' Marty thought. "What would you like from our menu," Camille asked, smiling while getting the cashier ready for another new order. "I'd just stick to a Lime Pie and some fresh Apple juice"Marty replied taking their gaze away from the menu, Camille smiled and nodded "Alright that would be 6 dollars" Camille took out her hand and Marty placed the money ontop of it, with one swift movement Camille had completed the transaction. To the unspoken rule, Marty just took the number of their order and sat down at one of the corners of the cafe for their Lime pie to be ready.

Just as Marty was about to put their headphones on, the string on martys finger started to shake again, it was rather painful but tolerable, they look back up and see someone enter the cafe, a rather tall girl with beautiful hazelish eyes, brown long hair and a septum piercing walked in, Marty felt their heart drop to an alarming rate, the string pulled towards the girl's direction and they could see the other side of their string, connected to the girl. Martys world was swarming by now, they couldn't believe they just met their soulmate, 'has she noticed her string is connected to mine?' Marty wondered.

The girl walked up to the counter, around this time the girl hasn't noticed their soulmate just inches away from her. Once again the cheery voice was heard "Hi I'm Camille and ill be taking your order dear" followed by the clinking of the cashier, a soft voice spoke "Hi I'm Lauren," the girl smiled "I'll have a warm nice chai tea, please" Then the next thing you know the girl named Lauren was looking for a place to sit because, since Marty's arrival, the cafe had begun getting flooded with costumers. So there stood Lauren with a ticket and a book in hand, looking for a place to sit. As she struggled she noticed a red string that leads from her pinky to the corner of the cafe, where she finally met their gaze, her soulmate.

Lauren quickly shuffled closer to Marty, the string getting shorter and shorter, finally, Lauren had sat down, her gaze getting stronger at Marty, they both just sat there in silence until..."Hello guys! Here are your orders! A lime pie with apple juice and a nice warm Chai tea" Camille placed the drinks and dessert in front of them and quickly left before muttering," enjoy love birds." Lauren took her chai and drank a sip before she finally spoke, "Hi, I'm Lauren" she raised her hand in front of them before Marty slowly grabbed it and shook it "I'm Marty." The string that once was red turned into a soft yellow, meaning that they were now unified, after so many years of search Marty found her and Lauren finally found them.

"Want to share my pie?" Marty asked, a soft smile glazing upon their lips, Lauren laughed and shook her head, carefully Marty sliced the pie making sure it wasn't too big nor too small, they stook the spoon in the air before it started moving towards Lauren's lips, she slowly ate the treat, smiling upon the delicious flavor in her mouth. "Its amazing Marty" Lauren said. Marty smiled as they continued to talk, not realizing they never let go of their hands.

What a lovely life isn't it?
