It is said that the concept of Instant Messaging was developed in early 90's and it allows everyone to get a fast and real time connectivity with other people all over the world.

Since then, Instant Messaging Apps have revolutionized how we communicate and the present IM apps have leveled up the user's experiences to incorporate features like video, photos, voice, e-commerce, and gaming with plain-old messaging. However despite the most common to the newest IM apps players today such as Snapchat, Facebook Messenger, Flashat and Whatsapp, today's technology would simply not be possible without the earlier breakthroughs of their more rudimentary predecessors.

In the year 1990, the Internet Relay Chat allowed users to connect to networks with client softwares to chat in groups with real time commands. The first SMS message is sent over to vodafone GSM in the UK. In the 20th century, the first major IM platforms were ICQ, AIM, MSN and YAHOO, battling with the Instant Messaging market. And right now, there are a lot of IM apps now that can be downloaded to our smartphones as the developers continue to upgrade the foundations of IM in the previous decade.

We can't deny that these IM apps brought us a lot of efficiency and effectiveness in work and daily communication. A big thanks to technology as we can now connect to everyone, everywhere and anywhere they are.
