CHAPTER 1- On My Mind

It had only been a few hours since the last time Niall saw her, but yet it felt like an eternity. He nervously waited at her door with sweaty palms and a pounding in his chest. The night was quiet aside from the low din the boys were making just a few hotel rooms down.

They understood how he felt towards her, but not even Liam's relationship with Danielle or Louis' with Eleanor could top the feelings Niall had toward his own girl. It hasn't always been like this; in fact, it was quite recent. He had heard of her occasionally while living in Ireland, and then were friends, but he didn't truly realize their relationship would become this intense util he went to London with the boys. They could all see something special between her and Niall, and Niall wouldn't have it any other way.

Niall finally mustered up the courage to open her door. A light turned on inside and illuminated her with a heavenly glow. There she was, perfectly wrapped in the Nando's take out box, his one true love: Peri Peri Chicken.

Niall and his one true love had a wild night. He carried her in his arm the whole evening: at the pub, through London, and especially when he was talking to the other lads. They were inseparable. But halfway through the taxi ride back to the hotel, he realized their love was dwindling. That is, he had only one piece left of her: a single Peri Peri chip. He wouldn't stand for this! He ordered the driver to make a U-turn and head straight to the nearest Nando's. The can screeched to a halt in front of the majestic doors and a friendly usher escorted him in. Niall didn't even hear the paparazzi over his grumbling stomach.

"Table for one, please!" He urged. "I'm sorry, sir. We only have tables for two. Is that okay?"

"Anything will do, really!" Niall tried to hide his infer but his stomach and heart both ached for his true love to satiate his taste buds again. He quickly sat at the table nearest him and ordered before the waiter could even present him with a menu. He sat anxiously and looked around, trying to distract his grumbling stomach. The usher was right, the place was packed tonight.

It gave him an idea. He reached for a disposable napkin and drew from his pocket his lucky Irish pen to scribble down some new lyrics: 'get out get out get out of my head, and fall onto my plate instead' he scribbled it out; it was only making him hungrier. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get his one true love out of his mind.

A waiter appeared, not with his food but with a beautiful young woman.

"My apologies, sir. We seem to be out of tables. It is alright if this young lady joins you tonight?" He asked apologetically. Niall was astonished, not because he had to share a table and not because his food wasn't here, but because he had just seen a face more beautiful than his one true love, and he had the luxury of sharing a table with the angel.
