~Flash Forward 2 Years Since The Last Chapter~

You had become really close with the two boys over the past two years. Like you practically live at each other's houses close. Like your wardrobes are evenly split between your separate closets close.

You hung out, studied together, and even had secret sleepovers at Steve's house. Not that his mom minded in the slightest, she was just happy her son had friends who actually cared about him.

Speaking of moms, you had also revealed to the boys how your mother had left when you were 9 and that you still have no idea why. You knew her relationship with your father wasn't great but you still thought she loved you.

That conversation prompted other meaningful conversations, which prompted the three of you to become ever closer.

The closer you got to the boys, the more you started to notice how close they really were. They almost seemed like a couple

They would hold hands under tables or placed hands one each other's knees when they thought no one would notice, and the way they looked at each other was full of more than just friendship.

Okay, maybe they are a couple.

But you couldn't muck up the courage to ask them about it, until that day.

You were heading to Steve's place to study while his mom was at work so you wouldn't bother her, but when you got there you found the two boys vigorously making out on the living room couch.

The shock left you frozen in place long enough for them to notice you and scramble away from each other.

They both started sputtering excuses but you couldn't hear a damn thing over the sound of your broken heart.

Yes, you had crushes on them both, but that wasn't quite it. These boys promised you that they were open books and that they would never hide something from you.

The group of you were best friends. But they hid this from you... were you not as important to them as you originally thought?

You looked towards the ground and waved your hand prompting them to shut up.

"I need to go think about some things." You whispered just loud enough for them to hear you, followed by you making a swift exit and heading home.

You didn't talk to them for a week afterward. It wasn't that you cared that they were in a relationship, in fact you were happy for them, but your emotions didn't know how to feel. The irony isn't lost on you.

You were more hurt than anything though. Why didn't they just tell you? You thought you were closer than that. Like tell each other all your deepest, darkest secrets close. They knew everything about you.

The image of the two boys making out on that tattered, old couch never left your mind. No matter how much you tried to make it go away, it just stayed there.

For that entire painful week, the boys tried to make eye contact with you in the halls of school in hopes that you would walk up to them, but you just kept your head down.

So, as a last resort, they cornered you in an empty classroom during lunch. You continued to refuse eye contact, ready to be rejected by the pair.

"We need to talk. Jeez, that sounded more angry than it should've..." Bucky spoke, nervous for your response.

After a few moments of the two boys staring at you, you sighed and shook your head.

"C'mon, just say something, doll." Bucky said, exasperated since Steve clearly wasn't going to initiated the conversation.
