Let The Silence Speak...

"Wait, why are we going to the library? Doesn't Scott have like, a bunch of books we can use?" Travis asked the brunette.

"Well yea, but I have the Bestiary and something's making me want to go to the library," Allison told the blonde. They reached the doors and walked in. Travis started to whisper so that no other students could hear,

"Isn't that like, not a good thing? Let's just sit down for a second." Allison rolled her eyes but reluctantly agreed. She pulled out her laptop and Travis grabbed it from her hands, clicking, until he found banshee.

"So?" Allison asked Travis, as he attempted to read the pages.

"I don't know. It's in a different language." The boy spoke embarrassed. She giggled and turned the computer screen around to face her.

"It says, a banshee will hear how someone dies before it actually happens. They can predict death and hear through objects. It can play memories or whatever." She started.

"It says that their voice, their scream I mean, can be used as a weapon. They have to direct it and concentrate. The flash drive says a banshee needs to listen. Whatever that means." She finished.

"Why would your dad have this?" Travis questioned.

"I don't know, he can't even read Archaic Latin." The brunette answered.

"We should be looking for what drowns people, without water." The blonde tried changing the subject, as so many questions swarmed Allison's mind.

"So a water creature maybe? We don't have a lot of information." She sighed, but Travis' eyes lit up.

"Cassidy and Lance! They're new, what if they had something to do with this." He whispered.

"Again with this? Travis just because they're new to the school and Tara's attracted to Lance, doesn't mean they're evil!" She argued and the boy scoffed.

"I've never seen Tara act like that. Actually, I've never seen Noah act like that. How does that not concern you?... wait, what's that creature, the one that lures people in, using their voice. I think they were part of the sea."

"A siren?" Allison asked.

"That's it, they're sirens!" Travis grabbed the computer back from the teen and looked for sirens.

"Um, you know those were mermaids, right?" She asked.

"In the myth, but there are different versions. Look!" Travis pushed the screen in front of her face.

"It says a siren draws people in. They can manipulate someone's emotions, making their prey an easy target. After a while, the siren feeds off of them, absorbing the water inside of their bodies, leaving them completely dry." Allison read.

"So the water would be brought up through the mouth?" He questioned.

"I guess, I mean, humans are made up of like sixty percent water. If all that were to come up at once..." The girl started.

"Then a person could drown from it. So, what do we do?" Travis finished.

"See what Jack knows and if we're right, but I don't think Cassidy and Lance are sirens. That's if it even is sirens." Travis groaned, annoyed that Allison still won't believe his theory about the siblings.

"Hey, why'd you want to come to the library? We didn't even use the books." The boy said, with a slight giggle.

"I'm not sure, but I know I need to find out." She breathed.

"Try just listening. Concentrate and breathe." Travis stated calmly. Allison shook her head and closed her eyes, trying to listen. That's when she heard three voices. One was her dad. The other was Scott. And the third was her mom.

She would've been with us.

Yea.

She still is.

Allison immediately stood up and made her way over to a bookshelf. Travis followed close behind her, while the girl started taking the books off of it and putting them onto the floor. A bunch of initials was written on the metal. It was a tradition for their high school. Her eyes scanned the writing until she saw the initials,

M.S

L.M

K.Y

M.T

S.M

A.A

They were all written in different handwriting, except for A.A. That was written by Scott.

"Who's M.S, K.Y, and A.A?" Travis asked. He knew who the others were.

"M.S is my dad, his first name isn't actually Stiles! It's Mieczysław." Allison laughed at her friend and continued to talk.

"K.Y was one of their friends, I think her name was Kira. They said she had to move. As for A.A, I'm not sure who it is, but Scott wrote it... and after what I just heard, I think she passed away." Travis felt bad for the girl, as she was deep in thought.

"Didn't Argent have a daughter that passed away?" The boy asked. Travis and Tara usually stopped by for the holidays. They knew Noah Stilinski, Mellisa, and Argent pretty well. Allison's eyes widened.

"You're right! I almost forgot. Did he ever say what her first name was?" She asked out loud.

"No, he never mentioned it." The boy answered. Allison put the palm of her hand on the metal with the initials written on it.

ALLISON!

The same scream rang throughout the teenager's head. The girl gripped her ears, even though blood still poured out of them. She stumbled back and Travis held her up. It wasn't as bad as the last time, but now she understood. The woman shrieking her name was a banshee, and that banshee was her mother.

"A.A, Allison Argent! She's the person Jack brought up when he said, someone must've died fighting. My mom is the woman's voice. She was there when it happened! She's the one that screamed my name, but it wasn't for me... it was for her."

"But your ears are bleeding, does that mean?..." Travis pointed out, getting cut off by Allison.

"She's a banshee."
