My name is Gabriella Rose Brooks. Gabby for short. I am 28 years old. My wavy dark hair falls just after my shoulders, my brown eyes are hidden behind some square glasses, my tan face clear besides a few freckles that dot my nose, and I'm just short of 5'5". Plain and simple. There is nothing to extraordinary about my life, yet atleast. I've lived in a small town in Montevallo, Alabama all my life, and I have desperately wanted to get out.
Everybody has a dream. Many dreams begin at a young age, as did mine. When I was a teenager, all I wanted to do was move to the city and become a writer at SNL. I loved writing. And performing.
Whether it was romance stories of love I wished to find, or funny skits to perform in front of my family after dinner, I wrote it all.
Instead of attending cool teen parties, drinking and doing drugs, you could find me in my room most weekends, writing away. Or watching SNL and getting ideas of what to write.
Basically, I was determined to make my dreams come true. So, after taking as many writing and improv classes as I could during school, and I was sure I had perfected my work, I sent it into NBC to get considered for a writing position on Saturday Night Live.
Aaaaaaaaand it got rejected. My dreams were crushed. All until one day, while I was out grabbing coffee with my best friend Julia, I got a call. A call that changed it all.
AUTHORS NOTE: This is my first piece of writing, so please bear with me as I attempt to write what I envision as a good story. Sorry the intro was so short, but it was only meant to be a background.
