Kat wrapped her leg with a piece of her shirt she had ripped off to stop the bleeding but it seemed not even that would help. She knew she would bleed out without proper help. But she was in the middle of nowhere in some woods called Weeping Woods. She knew help wouldn't come because no one would ever find her here. She was gonna die alone. She learned to accept this a long time ago after her parents kicked her out of their home and she lost everything. She sniffled and held her leg and winced at the pain. She had been attacked by a wolf right before being able to shoot it. She didn't know how she survived that attack but she didn't know if she even counts herself lucky. She thought she should've just let the damn wolf win the fight. It was her fault she was in this mess. She had no home to stay as she had gotten kicked out of her apartment for being late on rent as money was hard for her. She had a shitty job and couldn't even make enough for a months worth rent. She closed her eyes and sobbed as she held her leg.
"Hey, over here!" A voice called out.
Kat opened her eyes and slowly looked up. She saw a girl she had never seen before. She thought she was hallucinating. How could someone have found her?
"Hey," the girl said. "You need to get help!" She called out to Kat.
Everything started to become a blur for Kat. "No.." she murmured and slowly shook her head.
"Meowscles, a little help!" The girl yelled.
'What is going on?' Was Kats thought right before passing out.

Kat jumped awake. She was in a cell. She winced at her leg and looked at it to be wrapped. Someone helped me? She thought. 'Where am I?' She looked around to see other cells around but she was the only captive.
"What's your name?" She heard a voice.
She jumped at the sound of a voice as she didn't see anyone around. Then she saw a figure walk through the dark hall ahead of her.
The first thing she saw was a golden eye.
"I'm gonna ask you again." The man walked right up to her cell. "What's your name?"
Kat stared at him and didn't say a word.
"Now you're testing my patience." Midas put a hand on one of the bars. "My agents saved your life. The least you could do is tell us your name."
Kat looked down at her leg and then back to the man. "I'm Kat." She said quietly.
"Your full name."
She sighed. "Kat Reyes."
The man didn't say a word he just turned around and started to walk out the room.
"So you're not gonna tell me yours?" Kat asked.
The man stopped short and turned around. "M." He said and then walked out.
Kat let out a deep breath and closed her eyes as she laid back on the medal bed she was forced to lay on.
'It's a lot better than the woods at least.' Kat thought right before she heard a door swing open.
The man had come back.
"My agents have decided to give you a chance here." He spoke. "But they don't know that I don't go by their opinions. I decided that we need to learn more about you first and know just who you are."
Kat stared at him. "I'm no one." She scoffed. "I also didn't ask to be brought here so I don't need yours or anyones decision as to whether or not I should stay here because I don't even know where the hell I am."
"You're somewhere better than where you were before and you should be grateful you were brought here." M glared at her. "You're a very stubborn girl."
Kat scoffed. "Screw you, dude! I told your agents that I didn't want any help, okay! I said no! I wanted to be alone out in those woods so screw you and get me the hell out of here!" She yelled. "Get me out!" Tears began to fall down her cheeks and she looked down. "Please.." she begged. "Let me out."
M stared at her and felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Sorrow. He opened the cell. "I'm not gonna let you go back out there." He held onto the gate. "But this doesn't mean I trust you."
"I don't trust anyone." Kat looked up at him and stood up. "But.. your agents.. they saved my life.. why..?"
"They have a big heart." M replied.
Kat furrowed her brows. "I didn't think anyone in this world did."
"You'd be surprised with these people. I've known them for.. many years and they have become my family." M leaned closer to her. "If you do anything to harm them, I'll make you wish you stayed out in those woods."
Kat held her breath.
M backed up. "Follow me."
Kat was over this guy. 'Warm welcome' she sighed and followed him.
He led her upstairs and there she saw the same girl that had found her in the woods.
"Oh, boss man actually let you go!" The girl cheered.
Kat looked at her confused.
"I'm Skye, legendary adventurer!" Skye introduced herself to Kat. "And you're Kat Reyes!"
Kat didn't say anything.
M sighed. "Skye, tone it done a bit, she's still adjusting to all of this."
"Oh, right, sorry, Kat!" Skye gasped. "Kat, your name is like Meowscles! Cause he's a cat and your name is Kat!"
M groaned. "Okay, Skye, go find Tntina."
"Will do, boss man!" Skye went off to find Tntina.
'Who the hell is Meowscles?' Kat just stood there, awkwardly. She didn't know what to do.
M looked at her. "Kat." He called.
"Y-yeah?" Kat asked.
"I need to know that I can trust you." He said. "I want to help you." He sighed. "That girl you met, Skye. She's like a daughter to me. I found her too on her own and brought her here and gave her a home and a new start." M looked at her. "If you want that too, Kat. You need to prove that I can trust you."
Kat looked around the place. It was beautiful in here and she never thought she'd see herself inside such a big building, let alone with all these people and this strange man with a golden eye. "I.. I am grateful for everything you.. uh.. people have done for me but I don't know how to prove that to you. I don't mean any harm to you or anyone here."
"You don't do any harm, then you've proved it to me. It's as simple as that." M stated to her.
Kat looked around one more time and then back at M. "Okay."
"Good." M said. "Now, I'll let Tntina show you to your new room."
Holy shit. Kat tried to hide her excitement about actually having her own room.
