Karasuno Goes Iceskating! (Oneshot)

Karasuno's Field Trip

A/N: Hey guys! I skate irl so some of the terms I use might not make that much sense if you don't skate! Enjoy your read!

Author POV:

Volleyball practice was going as usual. The club was working on their receives until Takeda burst into the gym. "I have great news everyone! Come over here!" Takeda said as he made his way to one of the benches. 

"What is it?" Tanaka asked. 

Takeda grinned. "I'm glad you asked! The school is letting our club go on a field trip next week! You guys can choose where we go." Takeda concluded. The team was excited. After some bickering between a few different places, Hinata suggested that the team could go ice skating. The rest of the team eventually agreed on the idea. "Great! Let's meet at the Karasuno entrance at 10 am on Saturday! Make sure to dress warmly." Takeda said. The excited team didn't notice the huge grin forming on Hinata's face.

-Timeskip: Saturday-

Hinata 3rd Person:

Hinata up to his alarm ringing at 9:30 am. He excitedly jumped out of bed and rushed over to his closet. 'the team is going to be so surprised...' Hinata thought. After a few minutes of looking, he found the outfit he was looking for. Hinata grabbed a pair of black leggings with blue gems along his left leg in a flower design. He grabbed gloves that matched his pants and also a short-sleeved shirt. The shirt in question was one that he wore many times to competitions. The material was perfect for skating because even though it looked thin, it was warm. It was the perfect material because after he warmed up, he wouldn't need to wear a jacket. The shirt was mainly a yellowish-orangish color with a black strip on the upper half. Above that was a light-grey section. This shirt was very flowy and complimented his figure when he was on the ice.

After double-checking his appearance and making sure that he had a water bottle and his skates, he left his house and rushed to his school.

"Hinata! We were going to leave without you!" Coach Ukai said. "Get in the bus." Hinata nodded and walked towards the back of the bus. He took a seat near the back that was across from Kageyama.

Kageyama was slightly confused at Hinata's appearance. He was wearing a light shirt, skin-tight pants, and carrying a rather large bag. Instead of questioning his outfit, Kageyama asked about what was in the bag.

"You'll find out when we get there!" Hinata said with a light laugh.

-Timeskip: The Rink-

The team noticed that Hinata was unusually excited. They brushed it off because of the fact that they were on a field trip. After passing through the automatic doors, someone yelled, "Hey Shoyo!"

The team watched as Hinata walked over and high-fived the male. The boy looked to be around 15 years of age. He had chin-length blond hair and was wearing black pants with a baseball-styled jacket with the word 'RUSSIA' on the front. "Hey, Yurio!" Hinata said. The team watched in confusion as the two boys talked.

"You don't usually skate on Saturdays, what's up?" Yurio asked. He glanced at the rest of the team. "And who did you come with?" He asked.

"Oh, that's my volleyball team." Yurio snickered. Hinata responded with a grin and whispered "They haven't skated before, you might like to watch this." Yurio bursts out laughing.

"This'll be entertaining... I'm going back to the rink or Viktor'll be pissed, talk to you later Shoyo." The boy said as he walked into the rink closest to the entrance. The team was confused and had multiple questions. Who was that? What did Hinata whisper to him? Why did he call Hinata Shoyo? Are they really that close?
