Slowly, agonising, Nam Jongsuk on his knees was counting his last breath, looking at his children he loved oh so dearly but knew he wouldn't be able to see them grow into lovely people and enjoy their youth.

He didn't want to waste his breath on thoughts of the woman he loved more than anything in his past but that was past and he'd rather watch the beautiful faces of three children huddled together; and although they were crying, although they might meet the same fate as him; but at least the last light of his eyes would be enlightened by his whole world that consisted of nothing but his three kids.

Sang Hayoon stood still over the corpse of her husband, feeling not even a little bit of remorse as though she did not kill her partner but just a mere fly that somehow got into her house.

Jeongguk, as the fragile and sensitive kid he was, started crying more so loudly that his sister had to keep her hand over his mouth to muffle his wails and cries that would attract the attention of the murder.

Slowly she shook Taehyung who was dead silent, face showing no emotions but his eyes betrayed him as two clear streaks of salty tears flowed onto his cheek.

"Tae, go to your room with Jeongguk and lock it." She whipers in her brother's ear, for she was afraid that the woman would hear it. Fortunately she didn't as her eyes were trained onto the dead body, thinking only God knows what in that psycho mind of hers.

It took a push on the shoulder for Taehyung to get her worlds into his brain but nanoseconds to process them and taking the younger's hand into his. He ran like he had never, like there was no tomorrow. And the last phrase did seem true as he saw Hayoon quickly snap her head in their direction due to the noises of feet against floor.

Taehyung didn't look back after seeing the eyes of her. Those eyes that once were filled with only love and adoration now held something evil. Sometimes, those deep black orbs still haunts him in his nightmares in present.

Hayoon pushed Jangmi out of the way, for she was just an obstacle now in her path and wouldn't hesitate to shoot her dead just like her father if she dared intervene.

Luckily, for Jangmi's own good, she was a smart one. Not wasting any second she sprinted up to the main door until her feet landed on the soft, fresh grass of their lawn.

Hayoon didn't care where the girl went. Since rationality left her mind, her own daughter, her own blood and flesh she reared for nine months and raised into a teenager of fourteen years didn't matter. She simply didn't matter to her anymore.

As insanity consumed her mind, she shuffled her feet towards the stairs and walked all the way up where the two boys were scrambling in fear from their foster mother.

"Open the door my babies." Hayoon says this so sweetly, so mother-like as if she just didn't commit the murder of her lover who's still lying dead in their living room.

Taehyung doesn't trust her one bit because if the woman can kill her husband then what are two adopted boys for her? So he doesn't open their door of safety separating them from the evils on the other side.

What he does is grabs his pocket money from his closet and gives it to his younger brother after wiping the fat tears from his face and telling him to be strong.

He again hears the requests from the woman outside to open the door but he just shuts all the noise and directs his sole attention to the angel that is his brother. Jeongguk didn't deserve to witness all this.
