"Happiness. You know that feeling that just comes over you when you realize life is good and the only thing you can do is smile. It can come from the small moments in life such as a meaningful compliment or that upbeat conversation with a stranger. Other times happiness comes from the big moments such as that special day were you meet that one person who will make every day of the rest of your life special or that special day were you marry that person. All those happy moments that you share with friends and family whether it's just a conversation or a game of some sort. What happens when your brain seems to twist everything that once seemed good. That happiness turns to sadness, that once whole-hearted smile turns fake and, that sincere laugh soon becomes forced. Some how these voices in your head seem to feed your mind these negative thoughts until you've got no other options than to listen to them. They constantly remind you of every little let down, every mistake you've made, and they point out all of the little flaws. These voices seem to twist every relationship you may have once had. They tell you that it's all fake and that there is no one who really cares. That loneliness and constant reminder of how insignificant you are to this world is strong enough to make the strongest person in the entire world cripple to their knees."
A young woman sits in the corner of her room, her knees pressed against her chest, her arms wrapped around her legs, her head hung. The thoughts raced though her mind, questioning everything that has occurred in her life, questioning each relationship she has had in her life, she even questioned her existence. At this point she couldn't even remember the last time she was happy. Who was that smiling little girl in the pictures? When did she loose that little girl? When did this world finally break her? These are all questions she her self couldn't seem to find the answers to. She lifts her head, cool tears rolled down her face. She stared off at a wall on the other side of her room. She tried thinking back on the past, trying to find what went so wrong.
