The office door opened, and their supervisor came out of his room.

" Alright, they've agreed to take you in, dismissed. "

They took off to the parking lot, with Outbreak and Ajax ready to roll out.

" The captain sent you guys to help us talk to the locals of Compton. " Ajax said.

" Listen up. I don't want any bloodshed. We ask about helping. If the people say no, we fuck off. " Ajax explained.

" This is the point of interest, eighteen minutes away from the base, no sudden moves. " Goliath said.

" We have some killers on the loose. The slug was found dead near Wilson Park. " Ajax said.

" The autopsy estimated that he had been dead two days before his discovery. " Outbreak said, showing them the photos of the crime scene.

The photo was repulsive, with his body bloody and bruised, teeth marks scattered throughout his body.

Most of his head was gone, just chunks of grey matter and skull fragments

" He had been beaten with something heavy, robbed, and stripped naked. " Ajax said.

" What in the hell would a person want from an Echo? " She responded in a nervous tone.

" I guess we're dealing with cannibalism. " Goliath said while loading his gun.

" We talked to his roommate about where he was the last seventy-two hours, but he doesn't seem to know. "

" What about the tattoo? '' Sasha pointed to his shoulder.

The tattoo was a butterfly with odd letters.

" We searched for it in the database to see if it matched any known gang indication, but nothing came up. " Outbreak said, putting away the photo.

" So where did you get that information about the Compton district? " She asked.

" Ajax, tell her. " Goliath responded.

" Most of Compton has decided to renovate sections into large farms, one of them being Salud park. " Ajax said as he landed the helicopter near a large complex.

" Is this the place? " Sasha said, hiding her pistol, surprised at the level of greenery and water.

" Not the same neighborhood but a similar one only a block away. " Ajax responded before putting on a rebreather.

Across the road stood a spotless facility, locals watering the plants, noticing them.

One of them was a small black girl in blue overalls and a yellow hat.

" Ajax? " She said while finishing her watering session.

Ajax took off his glasses and smiled, finding her reaction funny.

" You're part of Fort Echo? "

The expression of surprise on her little face quickly changed to one of worry.

" Are you kidding me? You know what this city is like; most of my people don't get along too well with Fort Echo. " She said, getting the attention of the locals.

" Think about it, we can protect your people, and all you have to do is harvest some food. "

" What about them? I don't know them. " She replied while pointing at his crew.

" Those three are my partners, very trustworthy. "

She turned her back, ready to go back to her carrots.
