Mia's POV:
I could taste the blood that was dripping out of my mouth. At that point all I wanted was to get away, but I knew I couldn't. I had to accept the fact that this is my life and nothing I do will change that. Even though I tried to hold it back, the screams left my mouth involuntarily.
"STOP, I didn't do anything wrong." I screamed at my own father because to him I was his very own punching bag and I think he just felt like it.
"Please stop!" I yelled hoping that he actually will. He moved away and looked down at me. His eyes dark and deep in thought. I never knew why my father hated me so much. When mum and Brodie still lived here it was so much better than this. I mean sure I still got hit and yelled at but it was never this bad nor was it in front of them.
"You're a bitch! Just like your filthy mother!" he spat out at me, all I could do was look down. My face felt swollen and bruised enough as it is, I didn't need to add to it with one of my witty remarks. He looked down at me for another minute, him standing there in a challenging position, like he was daring me to speak. I kept my head down and just crawled into a ball.
After a moment he stormed off and shut the front door behind him. As soon as I heard his car back out of the driveway I slowly got up and made my way to my room, where I stripped off my clothes and went in the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw a few cuts and bruises on my face and neck. I cried out loud and let the tears stream down my cheeks until there was none left. I had a quick shower and when I was done I let out a sigh and went back to my room and got dressed.
I went over to my old Nokia phone and called Ashley. On the second ring she answered.
"Hello?" she said in her soft voice.
"Umm, hey." I managed to get out; I cleared my throat and said "Can I umm, can I stay at yours tonight?"
She let out a sigh and said "How bad is it?" Ashley knew from day one about my life. I told her everything about myself. She was beyond my best friend.
"Pretty bad,I don't think I need stitches though."
"Hmm, alright come over as soon as you can." She hung up and I grabbed my keys and helmet and made my way outside. I could feel the stares I got from my neighbours across from me as they were outside. I quickly climbed on to my beat up old motorcycle and drove down to Ashley's place.
