Dalton had spent his morning preparing a beach side picnic for him and Hope. He led Hope down onto the beach where he laid out a blanket
"So your sleeping with the king?" He laughed as he tackled Hope down onto the sand
"No!" She laughed as she kicked her legs about. Dalton pulled her back up so she could see the picnic he laid on his side beside her and just watched her.
How she looked so beautiful and she hadn't even tried. Her hair blew about in the gentle breeze, her eyes sparkling in the sun and her smile it just drive him insane. She looked to her side and noticed him watching her as she watched the sea
"What?" She asked
"Nothing, you just look so beautiful!" He smiled
"Shut up!" She giggled as she began to blush "I'm wearing paint stained jeans, this vest top that was once white and my mothers cardigan if were being completely honest I haven't even brushed my hair today!"
"Exactly and your still the most beautiful women I have ever laid my eyes upon!"
After a few hours the sun began to go down and he decided he would show Hope the real reason he had chosen the beach for their date.
Hope had presumed it was because of her affinity for the sea but it wasn't. He took Hope down into the sea and at first she wasn't a fan, sure she loved to be on the water but being in it that was a whole different story.
Hope clung onto Daltons hand as he got lower and lower into the water
"Hold on are you afraid of the water?" He laughed
"Yes! I'm used to being above it not in it! Please don't let go of me!" She whimpered.
He smiled at her before he pulled her into his arms and carried her. Eventually they had reached where Dalton had wanted to show her
"Do you trust me?" He smirked Hope nodded her head before Dalton let go of her and told her to hold her breath. She did he led her under the water and towards a sunken ship. But it wasn't any old sunken ship, it Captain Silvers ship.
As she swam around it she found little trinkets that must have belonged to him and the crew. On the sea floor she saw a flask with Jones engraved onto it. It was identical to her fathers meaning it had to have been her uncle Liams. She made her way towards it and grabbed it before she realised she and Dalton weren't the only ones exploring this ship.
Before Hope could try and get Daltons attention she felt pain in her leg and realised she had been bitten by a shark. It must have been drawn out when she cut her leg on a broken piece of the ship.
Hope thrashed around in the water in an attempt to get away from it which only wound it up. It took her leg in its mouth and began to drag her further down into the sea when she finally caught Daltons attention.
When Dalton reaches Hope he pulled out the knife he kept in his boot and stabbed it in its eye. The shark let go of Hope and swam away. Dalton grabbed a now passed out Hope and swam her back up to the surface.
He reached the shore and made his way back over to their blanket. He ripped the blanket up and bandaged up Hope leg she still hadn't woken up and Dalton was beginning to worry.
He pulled his phone out from his satchel and called his father for help. His father told him to try and sterilise the wound whilst he made his way to them.
Dalton looked around frantically whilst trying to be careful of a still unconscious Hope when he spotted her flask.
He unscrewed the top and began to pour it over leg
"Bloody hell!" Hope yelled
"Ah so now you wake up!" He laughed
"Is that...?"
"Rum? Yes!"
"Blood waste of it!" Hope growled but Dalton just laughed. Hope looked down to her leg to see a blood drenched bit of blanket. She tugged at it and managed to pull it off but when she saw the state of her leg she quickly wished she hadn't been brought back around.
Her thigh now had teeth marks and her skin was peeling away from the bone. The breeze blew across the beach which only made the wound sting. Hope screamed out in pain as Dalton cradled her
"Hey it's ok!" He comforted
"No! No it's not!" She sobbed "you should've left me!"
"Hope! I would never leave you!"
Before she could respond Thomas and Regina had come running into view.
"Oh Hope!" Regina sighed "come on let me heal this!" She smiled. Hope nodded as Regina held her hands over the wound and sure enough the blood stopped pouring from the wound.
All that was left was the teeth marks and the trauma. Regina and Thomas left the two of them for a moment
"Hope, I'm so sorry if I'd have known that was goi-"
"Just shut up and kiss me already!" She laughed. Dalton beamed and pulled her in.
"Alright! Break it up!" Thomas laughed "Dalton I hate to break this up but you have that thing!"
"Oh yeah... when I'm back from Arendelle I hope we can do this again?"
"Of course we can! Now go!" Hope ordered as Dalton ran off the beach with his dad. Regina sat down beside Hope and watched the sea with her for a while
"So your parents are on their way home!" Regina smiled
"No! Tell them I'm ok!" Hope insisted
"But your not! You almost died today!"
"But I didn't! Tell them to stay and that I'll be fine!"
"Ok I'll do that but you have to let someone take care of you!"
"Alright... will you do it?"
"I wish I could but,"
"But what?"
"Don't tell anyone... I'm pregnant!"
"Regina that's amazing! I'm so happy for you!" Hope beamed
"Thankyou! So I can't care for you, Henry's moving into his new house, Neals out on business, god knows where your uncle Liam is-"
"Bloody hell!" Hope sighed
"What?"
"When we were by the ship- before the shark- I had hold of uncle Liams flask I planned on giving it to dad but it's gone!" She sighed
"No it's not!" Regina smiled "check your belt!" Hope looked down and there it was. She must have put it there when the shark attacked
"Wait if your all busy that means..."
"Yes... you get the Charming's!" Regina laughed
"Oh no!"
It wasn't that Hope didn't love her grandparents it was just that they could be a little bit too caring sometimes. Especially when she was injured.
