"Caroline I really don't see the point of this," I said walking down the street with a picnic basket in one hand, while she walked beside me with the other basket. I shoot a small smile towards some friends from school that walked along the sidewalk but continue following along behind Caroline.

"Its a great idea, you need to see Jeremy. Get some fresh air, being cooped up in my house isn't helping you." She skipped down the sidewalk, peeking over people's shoulders until she found what she was looking for. She quickly waltzed her way through the small gaps that others left, and I followed close behind.

Looking around my surroundings everyone seemed to go all out for today, girls were wearing corsets with long puffy dresses from back in the days, guys wore suits with the long tails at the back. I cringe, that is such a horrible suit, I would prefer the ones that don't make you look like a penguin.

"Hey, there you guys are!" She cheers, kneeling down onto the blanket Elena and Jeremy laid out. She turned her head and saw me wander towards them, they seem to not have noticed I was there yet. "You coming or what?" Elena and Jeremy look behind Caroline, I came into their view, they saw me making my way over to them. Elena shot a warm smile at my direction that still didn't reach her eyes, Jeremy pulled me to his side once I was a couple feet away.

"Missed you too Jer." I mutter.

"Your shirts making me hungry." He said pointing at the pocket on my tee.

"Great cause I brought the food!" Caroline said smiling and signaling towards the basket she held and towards the one I was holding.

"Are we really doing this?" He asked, looks like Elena may have had to drag him out of the house like Caroline had done to me this morning. He pulled himself up and stood above us, he looked like he was about ready to go.

"Yes, we are really doing this. We're going to take a page from scarlet." She said, I fixed myself up sitting upright from my awkward position and placed the picnic basket on the blanket. "We made it through the war. I know you guys went through hell, and my mom knows I'm a vampire, so basically it's like Atlanta has burned. And yet in spite of everything, we persevere!" I smile softly at her enthusiasm. Elena and Caroline look towards Jer and me, probably waiting for a response of some kind.

"Oh what the hell, I'm already sitting down anyways." I mutter, picking at the grass.

I heard Jeremy sigh and sit beside me, "All right, what are we eating?"

"Something good."

I pull out a piece of pizza I left in the basket for myself, my shirt wasn't completely irrelevant. Jeremy continued to whine about how disrespectful it was of me for not bringing him a slice, but I shrugged it off and took another bite. "You really suck." He mutters.

"Woah-"

"Hey." I turn my neck and see Stefan making his way towards us. He knelt down beside me and took a piece of pepperoni from my pizza before I could swat his hand away.

"Hey!" I shout, but it didn't come out right since I was still chewing on some pizza. He just winked at me and turned over to Elena.

"Hey," Elena smiled up at him. "Look who couldn't resist an epic romance." She teases.

"Will you come take a walk with me?" He asked her, taking her hand and pulling her up.

"What do you think that's about?" I asked finishing off the pizza and cleaning my fingers with a napkin Caroline so gladly handed me, she said the way I eat is un-lady like.

Jeremy shrugs. "No idea."

Stefan came back and asked me to go along with Elena, he said she was waiting in the car for me. I was confused but followed along, excusing myself from the picnic. Jeremy shot me a questioning look, and I just shrugged following Stefan.
