Chapter 8 Nightmares

Rin's POV

I don't know why, but for the past week, I've been having these awful nightmares.

They would start as a simple bad dream. The creepy room, the fear you feel for some odd reason. But then, I'd see Len.

He was always chained or locked somewhere, and I'd be forced to watch him die, slowly and painfully.  I remember at least 5 night where my mom came in asking if I was okay because of my screaming.

What do they mean? Why Len? What's wrong with me! ?

I really hope these things stop soon!
Len's POV

Tomorrow's Monday,  and guess what? We have a HUGE test. It's worth at least 1/2 our grade. So, we stayed up studying.

It was 9pm and we were already exhausted as we layed on Rin's bright orange, fluffy carpet.

"What's the *yawn* way to find the square root *yawns* of a not perfect square?" I quizzed, trying to stay awake, and failing.

When she didn't reply, I looked over to the side to see her on my arm. In an attempt to get my arm back, I accidentally got her to roll closer to me. After a lot of shifting,  she somehow wound up laying on my chest. Exhausted,  I gave in and fell asleep.

I was suddenly awoken to what sounded like pained screaming. I opened my eyes to see the sound was coming from Rin. A nightmare?

"NO!" She yelled, shifting. I used my arms as walls, so she doesn't roll off of me and hit the floor.

There were tears in her eyes. Why is she crying?  "LEN! I'LL DO WHAT I CAN!  JUST PLEASE,  DON'T DIE!!"

Her words were frantic, as if she were genuinely afraid.

Should I wake her?

'No, she needs the sleep,' I thought, 'she's had less than me'

Instead I tried to calm her, "Shhhhhh. It's okay,  I'm okay..." I lulled, petting her hair softy.

She calmed some after that.

"Len, please, don't leave me," she mlatched on to my shirt, obviously still asleep.

I smiled, holding her gently.  "Wouldn't dream of it, Rinny." I soothed,  my voice calm.

She snuggled into my chest.

"I love you, Len" she said.

I checked, and poked her, she's still out.

I smirked, she's in for a surprise when she wakes up. Chuckling, I buried my face in her hair, soon falling back to sleep.
