"THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY"

I was in the mall, when a 5 year-old kid accidentally bumped me from behind.
I asked for his name and he said his name is David. He was lost so I offered to help him find his parents. We were in the middle of the mall when we heard a baritone voice calling the kid's name.
"Papa!" David shouted and immediately ran away from my grasp.
As soon as I turned around my body went stuned.
I immediately turn my back to them, I can't stand their presence. I walk fast just to distance myself to them.
I heard someone called David's name. A soft and feminine voice. I conclude it's his mother. I took a slight sight to them and I saw and clearly heard laughing.
As I can say they are a Happy Family.
"Mommy that girl help me to find you and Daddy" I heard the little boy talking. I know he's refering me as a girl who helped him.
"Miss wait, let me say thank you for your kindness to our son" I slowly turned to them.
They both shock in surprise ,when they saw and finaly realized who I am.
They saw me , and ...
I saw them, the man who promised to marry me carrying his son.
Which I wasn't the mother.
And I saw my bestfriend Myla standing beside the man I truely loved before.
