Allison narrowed her eyes as they fell upon the boy who spoke. Suddenly the air felt cold around around her, as she realized what this dream was.No...
"Ty, do you have the camera rolling?" The boy turned his head to bark at someone in the group.
"Of course, I wouldn't want anyone to miss this," Ty responded, holding up the recording device.
"So," the first boy began, snapping his head back to look at Allison. "As you all know, my father is the leader of the Hybrid Hunters. It is our mission to rid any, mistakes, in our perfect society." He stressed the word with a small hiss in his voice.
"I believe that now is my chance to prove my worth to him... to our cause."
"In what world is a hybrid a 'mistake'?" Allison threw at him, now fully clenching her fists.
"This one we live in. You're the only one who is blind to the truth."
"Skull, I don't even know if I'm a hybrid or not, so why don't you leave me alone?" Allison countered.
Skull looked at her, tilting his head a little. "You look hybrid enough to me. Let's get on with this." He took a step forward, only to be stopped by Allison's voice.
"Leave me alone, or I'll have to waste the effort I made to protect people. This is your only warning." She gestured to her tail, which was still wrapped up in the blue fabric along with the lighter blue bow.
Skull laughed. "You think I'm scared of you, little girl?"
"Last time I checked, you should be. I don't think you should be underestimating me."
His smile faded. "Brave today, aren't you? You seem different from the scared tiny girl you usually are."
She let out a growl in response.
Skull huffed, before continuing, "Not like it's gonna matter anyway. Not after I'm done with my trial."
Trial? What does he- Her thoughts were suddenly cut off, as he lunged forward, producing a long broadsword from behind his back. She went into full defense mode, dodging attacks and occasionally blocking them if she couldn't get out of the way in time.
He yelled in frustration, not being able to hit her with his sword. His group cheered him on behind him.
One of his swings made Allison turn to block with the end of her tail. The sword ripped into the fabric protecting her diamond, and it fell off. She took the chance to swing her tail at him, which made him back off to dodge the attack.
"Not so big now, are you?" She teased, holding her tail out in front of her in a defensive stance. Maybe this dream is going differently than the way I thought it would.
He growled in response. "No fair! You'll kill me with that!"
Allison stood there, dumbfounded. "And it's fair for you to have your sword? You could kill me with that," she said sarcastically.
