You were somehow convinced by your friends to go out drinking at a local bar. The first little while was fun but after your friends had had a few drinks and found some random guys to grind on, you were left by yourself at the bar counter. You had a few more drinks and turned down several guys either trying to get your number or get laid.
Eventually, you got bored of sitting by yourself and decided to call an Uber, since you were too drunk to drive home. You got up, weaving your way trough the crowds, and eventually made it outside. The cold air made you shiver, however it was quite refreshing. You stood by the curb, waiting for your ride to arrive, when several drunk guys that looked a bit older than you stumbled outside and began smoking. You didn't have a problem with the smoke, after all you would have done the same, had you not been out of cigarettes.
They made a few comments in your direction, which you ignored, but eventually started getting rowdier and verged on the point of harassing. One of them walked around to face you, lifting up a bit of your hair. You pushed him back but another came up behind you and grabbed your waist. In one swift movement, you elbowed him in the nose while the others were still cat-calling you from the group.
"You guys better leave her alone unless you're looking for trouble." A voice said from behind you.
You turned around to see a tall man with long black hair and a leather jacket leaning up against the wall.
"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it?" One of the guys said.
"Well I'll beat your asses and then call out my four friends in there to come out and help me break your faces in some more. Leave her the fuck alone." He said, walking closer to you.
The group of men let slip some swears and insults before walking away angry. The man walked up so he was standing next to you and offered you a cigarette.
"Thanks." You said as you took one from the pack.
"Course." He said, lighting it for you. "I'm CC by the way."
"(Y/N). Why did you help me?" You asked, soon realizing you came across rather blunt. "Sorry, I didn't mean...I'm just confused."
"Ya needed help. Although it was pretty cool when you busted that guy's nose." CC said. "I hate seeing douche-bags think they can just do anything they want to women."
You nodded in thanks as you took a hit from the cigarette, breathing out the smoke slowly. CC looked around a few times to make sure the guys were really gone.
"Mind if I wait with you 'til your cab gets here?" He asked.
You shook your head. You were a little shaken up from the close call and your hands were shaking. You just stared at the ground, not saying anything. Not because you were trying to be rude, you just didn't know what to say and you were worried you might break down if you tried to talk.
"Are you alright? They didn't hurt you did they?" He asked, looking at you with a slightly worried expression.
'No no. I'm fine. Just shaken up." You explained.
CC nodded and lit another cigarette. Not too long after, your Uber finally pulled up as CC grabbed your hand to stop you.
"Here's my number." He said, handing you a piece of paper. "Text me when you get home. I want to make sure you're okay."
"Thank you again CC."
He nodded and smiled as you got into the car and closed the door. You gave the driver your address and you soon got back to your apartment. You had barely walked in when you remembered the little piece of paper in your pocket. You put the number in your phone and began to type.
(Y/N): Hi CC, I just got home. Again, I can't say thank you enough for earlier. Those guys scared me.
CC: Really (Y/N), it was nothing. I just wanted to make sure you were ok.
(Y/N): I am! Thank you!
CC: Ugh! Stop saying thank you! I get it! ;)
(Y/N): Sorry! Are you sure there's nothing I can do for you?
CC: Well...you could let me take you to lunch tomorrow...
(Y/N): That's it? Sure! We can go to lunch tomorrow.
CC: Awesome! Send me your address and I'll pick you up at 12 tomorrow.
