Baby Jackson #2

            ---8 months later---
I woke with a start as my baby kicked inside of me. I patted my stomach. Any day now. Any day now I would be holding him. Percy rubbed his eyes and kissed me quick. Cast waddled into our room and Percy put him up in the bed with me. "Breakfast in bed darling?" Percy asked me. I nodded. Since I was about to pop the seven and Nico, Cabin Seven, Harley, and Lacy and Emmi had come almost every day to visit me and entertain me. A shimmering mist appeared in front of me and the Zhangs appeared. "Hey Annabeth! We just wanted to check on you. Any day now right?" Hazel asked me. I nodded as Percy and Cast slowly came in with my breakfast. "Oh Annabeth I didn't know  you were about to have breakfast! I'll IM you later." she slashed through the mist. I looked down at my tray. Waffles and applesauce, blue as always. I nibbled at it slowly. Percy looked at me funny when I pushed the tray away. I didn't want to tell him I wasn't feeling well and make a fuss about it. He shrugged, rubbed my shoulder, and took the tray back to the kitchen. Cast clambered up into the bed. He was wearing the cute racecar onesie Leo and Calypso gave him for his birthday a few no the ago. He cuddled up to me. He was so Big already, it was hard to believe he was a year old it was like yesterday I had him. He looked at me with his big blue eyes. "Mommy, are you sick?" I smiled. "No baby. I'm just getting ready to have your baby brother." He pondered this. "Play Mommy. If you say so." He jumped down and left. I could hear him and Percy in the kitchen. "Ah, my boys." I said, parting my stomach. I told Percy that I wanted to have a girl and he agreed that we should try until we get one. So I prayed to the gods every night for one, just one baby girl. A sharp pain went through my stomach and I gasped. It was time. "Percy!" I called. He ran into the room and saw me panting with my hands on my stomach he nodded and went to the kitchen to call the demigods in an IM. Cast wandered in curiously. "Mommy? What's wrong?" He jumped into the bed and gave me hug. "Oh nothing Cast. But this means you'll get to meet your baby brother really soon. But right now, you're going to be spending some time with Lyra and Harley. Okay?" He nodded "Okay Mommy. Feel better soon." Cast planted a sticky kiss on my forehead and ran out the door.

What felt like hours later, they had moved me to the infirmary. Lyra and Harley had Cast, Emmi, and Lacy and the demigods were all in the infirmary waiting for me to start. Percy and Will sat on either side of me. The timer beeped at the five minute signal which told me to prepare. Percy was ashen faced and Will kept rubbing his hands nervously.  I took deep breaths and swatted the baby hairs away from my sweaty face. Percy held my had and whispered words of encouragement to it, though I think they were more for him than me. The timer beeped and Will got up. "Alright Annabeth time to start. You know the drill." I gave him a smile that turned into a wince. I waited until my next contraction and start pushing. I blacked out and was vaguely aware of the relieving feeling of my second son leaving my body. I opened my eyes and saw Piper standing over me with a cool cloth, dabbing at my forehead. "Where's the baby? And Percy?" I asked her weakly. She moved to the side and I saw Percy holding a blue blanketed bundle. He noticed me staring and came over, handing our son to me. He had blue-green eyes and curly brown hair. " Annabeth, if you don't mind,  I want him to be named Ethan. After Ethan Nakamura. Maybe Ethan James Jackson?" I nodded at Percy who smiled and gave me a kiss. At that moment the curtain was tanked back to show Cast, Lyra, and Harley. Cast moved forward with awe on his face. " Mommy! How ar- who is that? Is that my baby brother? What's his name?" Percy lifted Cast up into the bed to see him. "His name is Ethan James Jackson. He's your brother." I told him, handing Ethan to Cast to hold. He smiled up at me. I smiled back. Hazel looked her head in and gently took Ethan from Cast. Her, Frank, and Emmi looked down at Ethan and then passed him to Jason and Lacy. All of a sudden the door flew open and Grover came in followed by Chiron, in wheelchair form. "Percy! Chiron told me that you were having your second baby! I'm so sorry I didn't come and visit you earlier. But I was busy because Juniper just had our very first baby! We named him Georgie Oliver Underwood. He's a satyr just like me!"  Grover puffed our his chest proudly. Percy gave him a pat on the backal and they shook hands. "That's great G-man! Come and meet Ethan James Jackson. And you already know Cast." Cast waved hello and Jason handed Ethan to Grover. "Jeez Cast you're so big. Last time I saw you, you looked so small. Youvw grown a lot. And is this Ethan? Wow Annabeth! Good job!" I smiled. We talked for a while and then Grover and Chiron left saying they had some training to do. After everyone left Will sat next to us and talked about the usual procedures with Ethan. He shooed us out of the infirmary at 5:30. Percy summoned Blackjack and we flew home. Percy tucked me into bed and brought me applesauce, my go to pregnancy craving. Once I finished it, I passed put and fell into a (thank the gods) dream less sleep.
