One week had passed. Kate finally started to see a therapist and things between Rick and her were getting better everyday. They were both working on themselves to get better. They even went to see a therapist for couples.
Kate was getting less depressed. She stopped staying in bed all day and in her pjs. She started to see Lanie and the boys again. She wasn't back at work yet but she was planning on doing it in a month or so.
Everyday Rick and Kate went to the park and talked for hours while watching the kids playing.
They had a talk about having kids, Kate needed more time but she was ready to try again. They both wanted to try again. They couldn't see their life without little Kate and little Rick.

It was Saturday and they were packing to leave NYC and spend three weeks in the Hamptons, just the two of them.
- "Rick, hurry up we have to leave before the traffic gets awful!" Yelled Kate from the kitchen
- "One minute, I'm almost ready" answered Rick from the bedroom
- "And people says that women take so much time to get ready... You're such a girl!" Kate said, more to herself than to him
- "I heard that!!" Said Rick walking out of the bedroom
Kate laughed and walked to him. She put her arms around his neck.
- "You're lucky I'm patient" she said smiling to him
- "Whaaat? You patient? Let me laugh!" He said tickling her
- "Man! You're so nice!" She said punching him in the chest and giggling
- "Come on, we both know it's true!" He said taking her hand in his
- "Hmm. Maybe..." She said and kissed him. "Come on we have to go, you girl!"
- "Mean!" He said faking to sulk.
She laughed and walked to the door. Rick grabbed the luggage and they left the loft.

The drive was silent. Kate was still exhausted. Even if she seemed to be a lot better she was still depressed and sad. She slept during all of the travel.
Rick was a lot better, he was moving on. His wife was working on herself and that's all he was asking her, trying to get better. He knew she was still very sad about their loss but he also knew she was going to move on. She won't be all depressed forever.
He knew this holidays would help her a lot. They were planning on getting some rest, enjoying the calm, going to the pool and to the beach. Just the two of them. Plus the weather should be amazing. It would be three perfect weeks. And when they go back to NYC, Kate would go back to work and him with her, and they would both be a lot better.

A few hours later they arrived in the Hamptons. Kate was still sleeping and Rick didn't want to wake her up because he knew she needed to sleep, so he took her in his arms, walked in the house and lay her on the bed.
- "Are we already there?" Asked a sleepy Kate
- "Yes sweetie." He said carressing her cheek
- "What time is it?"
- "5pm."
- "Did I sleep all this time?!" She said surprised
- "Yes. Go back to sleep babe, I will wake you up for dinner, don't worry."
He kissed her forehead and left the bedroom to get the luggage.

Once the luggage was in, he went to the grocery store to buy some food. He left Kate a note even if he knew he wouldn't leave for a long time and she probably won't be awake.
He was right. When he went back to the house she was still sleeping. So he started to cook some lasagna and opened a bottle of red wine. He took a glass and poured some wine.
It was already 7pm and he decided to wake up Kate.

- "Hey beauty." He said sitting next to her and kissing her lips
- "Hmm" she groaned
- "It's time for dinner."
- "Already?! I can't believe I slept almost all day!" She said opening her eyes and standing up
- "Well you needed it. Plus we're here to get some rest."
- "Right."

After the dinner they decided to take a walk on the beach to enjoy the sunset. They lay on the sand, Kate's head on Rick's chest.
