"I'm not gonna do it, someone might see me! You know that I'm not even supposed to be out here," I said. I was surprised no one had noticed me yet. Ocean, the dolphin, started to chatter loudly. A few Fishermen started to look our way, so I ducked quickly behind a rock.

"All right, fine just calm down!" I hissed. Ocean smiled at me with a smug look of satisfaction on her face, then turned to a rock about thirty feet a way. "OK," I said, "to that rock and back. If I win I get a free ride past the dock."

"What if I win?" Ocean said dramatically.

"Um, free fish for the rest of the week." She never says no to fish. I shifted on the rock as Ocean thought for a minute. "Sure!" she said at last.

"Good," I sighed, as I slipped gracefully into the salty water. I dunked my head under so i could get my hair wet.

"OK, ready? One. Two. Three. GO!"

I plunged into the water. My matted, black hair floated up around me. My eyes, for some unknown reason, don't burn like most people's do. My Aunt says it's because my eyes are different colors. Ones Ice Blue and the other one's electric green.

The water was crystal clear, so you could see the salt water kelp that surrounded the fish anemones. Fish swam every where. Green fish, blue fish, purple, gold! It was truly amazing.

As I neared the rock, I sped past Ocean. I touched the rock first and kicked off for extra speed. I was going to win and we both new it.

Just as I was about to touch the rock, a school of fish swam in front of me, forcing me to stop. Ocean sped past and touched seconds before me.

"Hey! Not fair!" I said.

"No take-backs!" she shouted quickly. "You owe me fish for the rest of the week!"

"Well," I sighed, "at least its Friday!" I laughed at the look on her face. A quick glance at my watch told me I was late. I said good bye and rushed across the street to what hell was to come. At a clichéd, wacky American high school.
