I saw Lux from the window walking over, a little smile radiated my face but it faded away as soon as I saw her upset.

I waited for her on the porch as she came over.

-I hate guys.

Was all she said as she made her way to the front door?

-Lux Bishop, come here.

-Not the right time to show your authority mom , it seems pretty obvious that I'm upset, I just want to crawl in my bed and never wake up .

-Yes I can see that you're mad about something , that's why we need to talk about it , you'll feel much better later , trust me .

She sighed as she relaxed her shoulders, knowing that she didn't have any other choice left but to talk to me about what happened.

We sat on the chairs and she sighed with frustration:

-Guys are just stupid, I swear to God I don't even know why they exist!

I laughed at her, she was too young to even think about this stuff.

-Relax little pumpkin, you're just 12 years old!

-Exactly! I'm this young and I'm already bothered by boys.

-I'm listening, feel free to start complaining about your messed up life and your broken heart.

She glared at me knowing that it was full of sarcasm, I laughed slightly but then she began:

-I was humiliated today by some jerk! I thought that I loved him but now I don't have the slightest feeling for him anymore.

-It wasn't love. I commented.

-It was! But who does he think he is? I put all my feelings and thoughts in that letter to show him how sincere my feelings were and all he could do was correcting my punctuations and giving me a grade?!

She shook her head in disbelief:

-I was this close to rip his head off but the other students held me back, I hate him, it was so humiliated! Does he even know that?

-It wasn't love.

I repeated quietly but loud enough for her to hear me.

-Why do you keep saying that?

-Because once you love, you never hate. Once you love, you never love again. Once you love, you never forget. Love has many levels and many pains, it's never a fairytale.

She raised an eyebrow of realization, then said:

-How was it back then? I mean, I know that daddy isn't your first love, was he?
