Diary of Phil the Villager, Book 2: Herobrine's Invitation

Prologue: Phil and Jay are about to fight some pillagers invading their village

Day One

As we strode towards the pillagers about to attack our village, I glanced at my Minecraftian companion Jay, whom I met on the day he came crashing into the gates of my village and helped us slay some mobs which then escalated to the two of us teaming up to kill a creeper.

Wait a second, you may ask. Who are you, what's your name and why do you say 'Minecraftian companion' as if you're not one of them?

Well, I'm actually not a Minecraftian. My name's Phil, and I'm a villager. As the first paragraph said, Jay and I met in a dangerous situation. That's how we came to be friends and even fight side by side. But now, back to the story.

Jay was armed with a dangerous enchanted sword, while I was equipped with an equally hazardous enchanted bow. I rethought the tactics my dad had taught me. Peek, shoot, always aim higher than targets, gain the high ground, I thought. I guessed that Jay was probably also revising his tactics, which possibly could go on the lines of something like block, strike, block. If we failed our mission, the village would be on the hands of our defenses, which were not much. The village would probably be destroyed.

We met the pillagers in the plains roughly a hundred and fifty blocks away from the gates of the village. The pillagers spotted us but didn't shoot with their crossbows because we weren't in range. Jay nodded to me so I pulled out some dirt and a diamond shovel and started building some dirt walls with some holes in them so I could hide in there, peek to shoot an arrow then slip behind the wall again. Of course, there could be ravagers (some kind of large super-cow dangerous monster apparently, Jay informed me)or witches, so I built the wall high enough so they couldn't harm a single hair on me. Jay had the job of protecting me and killing any pillagers that got close while I was busy building. After that, I would keep shooting at the pillagers to distract them while Jay built up temporary walls and advanced slowly towards the pillagers until they were in range. I would also take care of any ravagers that would make it very hard for him to focus on the pillagers. I also had a bunch of special Spectral Arrows in which case I would fire at a ravager if I saw one. Jay would then build a mini dirt house with windows in and would wait while I took care of the ravager. Luckily, there wasn't one on this wave but Jay informed me that reinforcements may come and there may be more and more enemies. I finished my dirt tower and started firing at the pillagers. The battle had officially begun! All the crossbow-wielding pillagers immediately took notice of me and started firing at me, while I dodged all of the arrows and fired back, killing them off one at a time. It was lucky that I had an Infinity bow, or else I would have run out of ammo very quickly. The pillagers were not bad shots though. They scored a couple of hits so it was fortunate that I had a large supply of steak and that would probably be more than enough to heal. I peeked one more time but saw that the seven or so pillagers had vanished! I then saw Jay pick up the loot they dropped. He waved at me and waved back. Then suddenly, an arrow sprouted in the dirt block behind him. He saw the reinforcements coming at him, then charged forward with his shield up. A fierce battle ensued.

After a lot of fighting, me and Jay were worn out. Finally, after one raid, we waited five minutes for the next enemies to come, but nothing happened. Fifteen minutes more, still no pillagers appeared. The battle was won! Jay and I slapped hands. We both strolled back to the village victorious. Worn out, but victorious.
