A Little Too Late

Chapter 2

I inhaled deeply as tears already blunt my view at those memories, I sighed then started:

-He had the sweetest eyes I've ever seen , as blue as the sapphire , I can still feel them burning my skin with his gaze , he made me feel things melted with passion , love , intensity and hunger , hungry for him , he loved me , he really did and his love was consuming me ...

I trailed a moment then I carried on smiling at those memories:

-We were the inseparable ones, the brothers; Aiden and Ronan; and I, Aiden was the oldest one. We've been friends for a very long time, above 10 years. At first, we were just friends, the three of us, used to hang out together all the time, innocent minds and lovely hearts. But as we grew up, we started having feelings for each other's ... But it landed us to be together, Ronan and me. He was sweet and lovely , caring and cheerful , clever and brilliant , he was the one who made their parents proud , his hazel eyes made me feel like home , he was protective and wise and with that , I fell in love , at least , that's what I thought it was , love .My parents loved him , they thought he was the perfect one for me , the one who suited me the most. With him, we had our future already planned. At my graduation , we all were at the living room at their house , chatting and laughing , everybody was there , my family and theirs , I was exchanging some gazes with Aiden but kept my mind focused on Ronan . When suddenly, I felt the need to go to the bathroom. I closed the door behind me and inhaled deeply, I then made my way to the sink to throw some water on my face when I held my eyes up to the mirror, I felt like I was drowning in my thoughts, I got back to all the memories shared with the brothers, when everything was simply perfect .Suddenly I heard a knock on the door and before I could answer, the door crocked and was slightly open but then, the person who was standing behind, stepped forwards. I looked back from the mirror to the door to face Aiden. He took a step closer as I was leaning against the sink, his blue eyes darkened as they captured mine, he deepened his gaze like he was trying to get through my mind, I didn't know that I was holding my breath tile I felt like I was running out of air, I opened my mouth to say a few words but he stepped really close and ...

I stopped myself from continuing as I realized I was about to say something that I shouldn't say, as a mom, to Lux. She glared at me when I didn't carry on:

-Come on mom, we both know what happened there.

But then added:

-Okay, just carry on starting after 'what happened' in the bathrooms scene if you want so.

She said shrugging her shoulders knowing that I wasn't going to tell her all the details.

I grinned at her with a toothy smile. Sure she is old enough to understand this kind of stuff I just didn't realize that, nowadays kids are growing so fast.
