A Little Too Late

Chapter 6

I took a deep breath , wiping the tears from my face , I raised my head to see Lux drowning in her own tears , I chuckled slightly then said :

-That was the love of my life , but I wasted it because of my silliness , I couldn't enjoy it while I had it , I tried to ignore my feelings all those years , and just as I figured them out , it slipped from my hands in a few seconds .

A sad smile spread on Lux's little lips:

-I guess I didn't understand what love was about until now , all what I'm living is just a childish thing , I'll never use the word 'love' that simply again . It was sad how it ended for you mom, but God how that was beautiful, it will always stay a memory at the back of your mind that you will never forget, I wish I will someday feel that passion and all those feelings that you felt with Aiden.

A little smirk was in the corner of my mouth , it was maybe a sad love story , but I'll always keep it as a good memory , I'm lucky that I found somebody who loved me as much as I did for all those years :

-You should know Lux that Love isn't common like we think it is. It's a special feeling, and like I said, it's mixed with pain and happiness, it has to be. If you ever feel like the feeling of hurt becomes happiness because you know that it shows you that you still care about that one special person. Or when you have mountains of troubles and problems, but a grin spread over your face right when you see that special person. Everybody deserves a chance to feel that kind of happiness but some people are just too busy on planning their lives while the most important things come haphazardly, and when you are the less expecting it. I made that mistake, I let it pass by without noticing it. But fortunately , I was able to enjoy it even that it was for a few minutes , they were full of happiness , but sadly , it quickly slipped from me , I guess it was a little too late for love .
